It begins tonight.

Thoughts? Predictions? My only hope is that New Zealand don't win again because that would be boring, oh and that Samoa beat Scotland.

England have a very tough group - Australia and Wales could put them out at the pool stage.

Scotland have hit form at just the right time. Whether they can translate that into results is another matter.

I reckon we can get out of our group - but we'll face one of England, Australia or Wales. I think a quarter-final finish would be a good tournament for us.

Might as well wrap up the whole tournament now: no way that it can possibly get more entertaining than this.

Partly because Rugby World Cups often kind of suck as sporting events, but...

It was a good win for Scotland - pretty comfortable scoreline in the end.

England are heading out - losing 17-3 to Australia at half-time. England need a win to remain in the tournament, otherwise Wales and Australia will be in the quarter-finals.

England are out - Australia and Wales will play each other in their final game to determine who finishes top of that pool. The winners of the pool are likely to play Scotland or Japan, while the runners-up will face South Africa.

I watched that England vs. Australia game in a DC pub with my sister -that has to be humiliating for England.  Not only did they lose, they couldn't even put up a respectable showing to make their loss bearable.
