The capitalist paradise of Singapore. Sure you can't chew gum, but who cares?

I sounds that while not technically legal, marijuana is decriminalized in Costa Rica and it's fairly easy to get a hold of.  In Singapore, possessing a certain amount gets you the noose.

I don't know much about Singapore, but it sounds like a nicer of the many Asian countries. Costa Rica is beautiful physically, anybody could easily live there, and is easily the best Central American country with 1 in both Political Rights and Civil Liberties according to Freedom House. Singapore was 4 and 4 on the same list.

Costa Rica oddly enough is one of the only countries in the world with a self-described libertarian party in parliament.

Singapore, probably.  Not really a fair comparison since I was only in singapore for a day, but I spent about a week in Costa Rica.  Still, I guess familiarity breeds contempt.  I'm not particularly fond of either of them, to be honest, but Costa Rica was so nasty and Singapore was very clean, so I'll go with Singapore.

But not actually libertarian:

Singapore, really isn't a free market capitalist paradise. It is more a state-controlled economy with capitalistic corporatism with socialistic features, it's working well for them though.
