Previous Result (9/11/15-9/21/15):
Jim Gilmore: 26.8%
Rand Paul 17.9%
George Pataki: 13.4%
Bobby Jindal: 10.7%
Chris Christie: 8.0%
Lindsey Graham: 8.0%
Rick Santorum: 7.1%
Jeb Bush: 2.7%

Lincoln Chafee: 1.8%
Hillary Clinton: 1.8%

Donald Trump: 0.9%
Scott Walker: 0.9%

All others: 0.0%

Only one person got it right last time around. Now that Perry and Walker have dropped out, who's next?

(By the way, I have permission from JonathanSwift to create this. Dar's is invalid because it excludes the Democrats.)

Voted for Jindal, but I'm not particularly confident about that answer.

This is a bit bold, but I'm actually going to go with Bush this time.

That is indeed bold. Bush is too arrogant to leave this early.

It's a series. I didn't want to break the series. Plus, if say, Lincoln Chafee and Bobby Jindal won their respective polls, we wouldn't know whether people thought that Chafee or Jindal would drop out first.

I voted for Jindal but who knows at this point. I suppose the next one could be a Democrat considering the next debate coming up is one of theirs and someone could bomb badly, but as I said, who knows.

I think it will be Rand Paul, that's who I voted for. His poll numbers have dropped drastically and I don't see a path for him going forward. At this rate he will perform worse than his father did in 2012. Plus, Rand has a senate seat to defend this cycle, which he is strongly favored to win. I think Rand already sees the writing on the wall and will soon drop out to focus on his reelection race.

I could also see Bobby Jindal dropping out next, however. Although always polling low, people saw potential in him. Nothing has happened to improve his standing (he may not be included in the next debate, and there may not be a kiddie debate again) so he could drop out next.

Gilmore and Pataki should drop out, but they entered the race knowing they had zero chance of winning. I think they are running because they are bored and have nothing else to do, so why drop out now?

Voted Kasich by accident. I meant Jindal.

This makes me really hope that Kasich is the next to drop out.

Jindal & Santorum are somewhat serious and in it to win it.

And they really aren't going anywhere.

Between them, Jindal, because Santorum knows how he rose for a time last cycle and might be holding out that hope again (even with Huckabee and Carson in the mix).

Aside from them, I think: Christie, Paul, Huckabee, Kasich may all be considering it. But none are doing bad enough to really do it yet, I think.

The people not trying to win (Pataki, Gilmore, Graham) will stay in as long as they want, however long that is.

There could be an out-of-nowhere dropout, like Jeb, but that probably isn't coming next.

I can't imagine anyone from the Kiddie Table dropping out right now. There's a chance to be invited to the next main debate if they weather the storm.

But the RNC said the next debate will probably only invite 8 or fewer people.

I voted Jindal, though I still think Santorum is the second most likely. Since he paid for the caucus, I think Paul will stick around for awhile. Likewise, I think Christie's debate performance will keep him afloat for a bit longer. I don't get the mentions of Kasich as besides Rubio, he's the establishment's other fall back guy and he is doing well in NH at the moment.

Yes, I think Santorum sincerely believes that Providence will give him a surge in Iowa if he makes.the holy pilgrimage to every single backwardsville town in the state like last time. Of course the dynamics are very much different than last time, but I don't think he considers that.

When did they say that?

Voted Santorum originally, but now I'm thinking Jindal from all of the conflicting reports from a couple of days ago. Those kinds of things are rarely without some merit, and both Perry and Walker denied they were dropping out just a couple of days before they eventually did.
