Let's give questions for the nominee, if you have.

I have no questions.

Let's reconfirm him and end the whole circus.

No questions.

I'll support the confirmation, but I hope the Census Bureau is not shot down again (if anything because it's a bit of an overreaction, but it's the one complaint I had about Griffin as RG, he's been excellent in the position).

I support the once and future Registrar General. I'll third the motion whether or not it is needed.

I have all the confidence in the world that Griffin will continue to serve Atlasia with distinction and fourth the motion to call a final vote.

Yes, I strongly encourage the Senate to think twice before allowing this clearly incompetent, malicious individual to be restored to the position he illegally occupied before being firing from. He held the whole nation hostage in a last-ditch effort to avoid a guaranteed guilty verdict!

Talleyrand, you've claimed you're "passionate" about survival of Atlasia. Good for you. You know what ese would be swell? If you could devote at least 25% of the energy you're using to continue your little feud with Griffin to help us do something constructive Smiley

I move that we treat Griff confirmation as emergency Senate business.

holding the whole nation hostage seems to have been super effective, yes. no need to openly brag about your crimes

I'm just going along with his trolling narrative here. As has been confirmed, continued operation of the Census Bureau in any capacity would have been illegal. Seeing as how the rolls are maintained and projected from my private property on a continuous basis and in a way different than the static way in which they've been handled in the past, I genuinely believed it to be a case entirely different than, for instance, the weekly posts made in an Atlas thread. I was given no choice but to cover my legal bases, and yes, I did so in a "super effective" fashion. There's no need to shame the victim.

Can the minimum time for questioning in a confirmation hearing (I thought it was 96-120 hours) be suspended by "emergency business" or what have you? I seem to recall the changes being made at some point to allow for this but I just want to make sure everything is being done by the books.

Yes... the Speaker can change the Senate rules in emergency times.

So he malaciously updated spreadsheet? Did he try and printer it off and strangle someone with it? Maybe he tried to shove it down someone's throat or up someone's a**?
