STATE OF THE UNION

The upcoming Presidential Election is likely to be fought on the platform of stability, but all candidates will need to address the ever suffering economy in order to reassure the already skeptical voters that they can fight for a fair deal. Domestic problems aside Atlasias economy has a rocky international backdrop of a Eurozone in crisis, a plunging Chinese economy and a Refugee Crisis requiring instant attention. At home an independence referendum has sent shock-waves through the skeptical business world, regional Governments have varying degrees of effectiveness and many Atlasians are unsure about their economic future.

Unemployment Figures

National Unemployment-8.8%

Northeast Unemployment- 8.4%
Mideast Unemployment- 7.3%
Midwest Unemployment- 9.1%
Pacific Unemployment- 8.4%
South Unemployment- 8.6%

The national unemployment figures show that in the month that has passed the economic future of Atlasia is looking bleak. With unemployment reaching 8.8% it's clear that drastic action may be needed in some regions. The Midwest is of particular concern, where a lack of government activity has lead investors to talk about pulling out of the region. The Pacific, Midwest and South have managed to stay relatively level over the last month, but still remain uncertain

As the nation focuses on it's political future at the constitutional convention the economic numbers look bleak for the the already suffering regions. The worsening numbers increase the likelihood of dissolution as politicians fail to tackle the main issue for many voters-the economy. How long will this fate go on for?

Northeast Unemployment- 8.4%
Mideast Unemployment- 7.3%
Midwest Unemployment- 9.3%
Pacific Unemployment- 8.4%
South Unemployment- 8.6%
