Jeb has a point here, though it's not best mentioning it in the context of talking specifically about blacks. But if one party is offering you free stuff to help meet your needs, and another party isn't offering you anything and just ignores you, then yes, of course you go with the one that offers you free stuff.

You are insulting one of the smartest posters here and furthermore, if heatmaster really was a tea party person, he wouldn't have anything nice to say about Governor Bush.

But let's get real here, the Democrats do try to win votes by offering hand-outs. Unfortunately, you are doing exactly what they want you to do - defend the welfare state and call all those who oppose the welfare state racists. Sounds like the answer that Ben Carson, Tim Scott, Thomas Sowell, Clarence Thomas or any other conservative African American would give. Thomas Sowell is an absolutely horrible, disgusting human being of universially historic levels, Tim Scott might very well be the single stupidest person ever "elected" to the United States Senate, Clarence Thomas is so out of his mind lunatic that it's a disgrace to the entire world that he's not locked up in a federal prison for the rest of his life, a scumbag without presedence in modern US history. Ben Carson I can tolerate, quite easily even. You preach it lad. The expression "free stuff" is a way to make it less painful for US billionaires to handle the fact that the vast majority of the world population is really to extremely poor and that an extremely high percentage of the world population will have to suffice on only one dollar (or less) each day. Talk about free stuff! I'm sure that Republican rethorical geniuses like Ted Cruz are extremely popular in India.
