Bush (R): 66%
Clinton (D): 23%

The survey was conducted September 8-17 among 604 adult Utahns. It has a margin of error of +/- 4.0%.

Little surprise here, in other news the Democrats are probably ahead in DC.

More interesting would be the margin for GOP candidates that are polling higher in swing states.

Utah HATES the Clintons. Bill actually got less than Obama and came in third place in 1992.

In other news, Sanders demolishes the GOP in Vermont.

This fits my assessment that Donald Trump is the only potential Republican nominee who could lose Utah. If the LDS hierarchy rejects him, he loses Utah.

This is an improvement for the Democrats. Romney won by 47.

This is an improvement for the Democrats. Romney won by 47.

That would probably be caused by increasing diversity in the growing Salt Lake City metropolis, but Utah's not swinging D anytime soon.

Unless Trump's the nominee.

Or just because the number of undecideds keeps the overall margin down at this stage when we are talking about comically uncompetitive states.

MARSHA BLACKBURN FOR SPEAKER!!

Political Matrix Score:
Economic: +8.39
Social: +7.65

Political Compass Score:
Economic: +9.79 (Right)
Social: +3.71 (Authoritarian)
Foreign Policy: +7.29 (Neo-Con)
Cultural: +7.81 (Conservative)

Sounds utterly un-American.

Did you guys record the Trump vs Clinton UT Policy poll a while back? It had Clinton within 9%, which makes UT practically a swing state (as compared to what it usually is). Lots of undecideds though, which would probably break for Trump.

In theory the LDS hierarchy could make an example of Donald Trump -- offend LDS sensibilities in business dealings and personal life,  and lose Utah.

Jeb Bush has no such problem.

Or the fact that Romney is a Mormon.
