In a last ditch effort to raise $ before quarter’s end, O’Malley is offering donors the chance to be serenaded by Marty O’M himself:

Bush expected to beat the $11.4 million he raised in the second quarter, but nothing more specific than that yet:

He probably should raise more than Ben freakin' Carson if he wants to be relevant.

Carson raised $20 million this quarter.  I doubt any of the other Republican candidates will be able to match that.  Does that make Carson the only relevant candidate?

That's quite a drop from the $7 million raised last quarter.

The article also suggests that the campaign now has $2 million cash on hand.

A last minute fundraising email sent out by the Cruz campaign on Tuesday said that, at least at that point, the campaign was "almost $200,000 short" of its quarterly fundraising goal:

http://national.suntimes.com/national-world-news/7/72/1904785/ted-cruz-tells-supporters-he-is-dropping-out

Though that's not terribly meaningful unless we know what the fundraising goal was.

I guess this is something he already announced, but Lessig raised more than $1 million in the third quarter:

Here’s another fundraising issue I haven’t seen discussed:

Have any of the other candidates talked about getting federal matching funds?  Obviously the big $ candidates aren’t going to bother with it, because it subjects them to spending limits, but what about the longshots?  Is no one going to do it besides Lessig?

Carson's Super PAC raised $2.9 million in the 3rd quarter, and has "more than $1 million in the bank":

This is only tangentially related to the fundraising totals, but it looks like Bush may have lost the support of billionaire donor T. Boone Pickens (of Kerry swiftboat fame), as he's now backing Carson and Fiorina:

You'd think that people smart enough to become billionaires would be smart enough to not back Carson.

Hey, don’t forget that almost every poll shows that while Trump wins Republicans who have a high school education, Carson is the leading candidate of college graduates: Tongue

Here’s the AP on the funding gap between Bush and Rubio:

Sounds like the Bush campaign is going to report a high burn rate, as it looks like they’re now having to cut back on expenses:

Jindal raised $579,000 for the quarter, and spent $832,000.  Combined with the $ he raised last quarter, he now has $261,000 cash on hand:

Christie raised $4.2 million, spent $2.8 million, and has $1.4 million cash on hand:

Kasich raised $4.375 million, spent $1.71 million, and has $2.66 million cash on hand:

That would put Bush in 2nd place (among GOP) for the quarter (about $1m ahead of Cruz but ~$7m behind Carson). However Bush appears to be 3rd in terms of cash on hand with $10m, behind Carson and Cruz (who has $13.5m). Bush started the quarter with $8.5m so the burn rate is high and only getting higher now that they are spending on advertising (even if he has switched from private jets to commercial).

Isn't Bush also behind Rubio in cash on hand?  ($11 million vs. $10 million):

Gilmore raised $106,000, though $43,000 was his own money.  He spent $71,000 ($40,000 was just to get on the ballot in SC), leaving him with $34,000 cash on hand:

So on the Republican side, I guess we’re now just waiting for Graham, Huckabee, and Santorum?

On the Dem. side, still haven't heard anything from O'Malley, Chafee, or Webb.

http://www.politico.com/story/2015/10/fec-2016-campaign-finance-fundraising-candidates-214825

Huckabee raised $1.2 million, spent $1.4 million, has $761,000 cash on hand and $133,000 in debts.

Chafee raised $15,000, spent $60,000, and has $285,000 cash on hand (remember that most of that money is a loan that he gave himself last quarter).

Lessig raised $1.0 million, spent $442,000, and has $574,000 cash on hand.

Rubio had said that he raised $6 million this quarter, but I guess he was rounding up from $5.7 million:

So who are all the candidates who ended up spending more $ than they raised this quarter?

Chafee, O’Malley, Santorum, Graham, Huckabee, Pataki, Paul, Jindal…am I forgetting anyone?

How long can those folks sustain their campaigns at this rate?  They should have just followed Gilmore’s example, only spending $71,000 for the quarter because he never leaves his house.
