Open VLD has some good proposals admittely. I just lack trust and they're more busy with their economic conservative program, and are natural partners of N-Va. I think i prefer them over the uninspiring social democrats.

The problem is that they're likely moving right if they elect a new chairman. Those were the proposals of the chairwoman who announced that she would not run for re-election as chairwoman. We need a left-wing liberal party like D66 with a charismatic leader. Not a big tent liberal party that also has economically a too right-wing platform. I think those proposals would hurt the working class a lot. But they're modern, progressive and good for the future of the upper (middle) class in our country. The problem is that they're in reality not really.

Most of everything good that they support is a lie to trick voters from voting for the Green parties or the Communists.

I believe so as well, esp. a trick to steal Green voters with their green proposals, but in reality they're the ones that don't take action.

That's because the reason they exist is just to forward the interest of the remnants of their pillar. They are a party for blue sky liberals which in Belgium is still economically to the left of most ALDE parties in EU (give or take a few weird ALDE parties that should not be in ALDE).
