Who is Brian McLaren?

I say the Pope, although I would probably be a bit too nervous.

Oh, he's that guy. I've never watched The Office so my initial decision stands.

...That's Steve Carell. Brian McLaren's probably just another guy who BRTD's obsessed with.

Ah. I looked him up and he's a theologian with his own set of ideas. I agree with his views on the prosperity gospel (that it's bad) and on climate change, and I'd actually consider meeting him simply because meeting the pope is so famous that I would feel unprepared and nervous.

But I still voted for the Pope.

Like do you understand what this poll is asking? Or do you just post "FF" on every thread to up your post count?

Either way, seriously reassess your life choices.

Atlas is turning into trash if it wasn't already bad enough when people sh**tpost like this. Why are meaningless posts allowed to promulgate on here so much!?

That McLaren guy seems interesting, hadn't heard of him but just looked him up. I wouldn't really want to meet the Pope.

I meant in the sense as "being promoted" but I could be mistaken. Please enlighten me, Tony, seeing as I only have 3 weeks of college under my belt.

Oops, I forgot to add "college" to the ever-growing list of things that Türkisblau has done to make him clearly superior to all the rest of us.

prom·ul·gate
ˈpräməlˌɡāt/
verb
promote or make widely known (an idea or cause).
"these objectives have to be promulgated within the organization"
synonyms:   make known, make public, publicize, spread, communicate, propagate, disseminate, broadcast, promote, preach; literarybruit abroad
"they promulgated their own views"
put (a law or decree) into effect by official proclamation.
"in January 1852, the new constitution was promulgated"
synonyms:   put into effect, enact, implement, enforce
"the law was promulgated in 1942"

There's nothing wrong with not knowing the meaning of a word - as a foreign speaker, this happens to me all the time. However, I think that was worth pointing considering your general holier-than-thou attitude in this and other threads.

Ah okay, thanks for that. I don't understand what a simple misuse of a word has to do with what I've said in the past but w/e.

I mean, we're in a space where you can GUARANTEE that any thread BRTD starts will be just awful.

I urge a boycott.

I suspect you meant "profligate". I see where you were coming from.
