This is a fantasy election in which all these candidates are clones of their real selves but have no relation to family members running against them. Also all of the candidates are an acceptable age.

Republican Primaries:

George H. Bush (CT) (George HW Bush)
George Walker (TX) (George W Bush)
John Ellis (FL) (Jeb Bush)
Bob Dole (KS)
Elizabeth Hanford (NC) (Elizabeth Dole)

Democratic Primaries:

Bill Clinton (AR)
Hillary Rodham (NY) (Hillary Clinton)
John Fitzgerald (MA) (JFK)
Robert Francis (NY) (RFK)
Edward "Ted" Kennedy (MA)

Both female candidates are married to passive non-political spouses, so they don't repulse "values voters"

... Do you mean J. P. K. III or Caroline Kennedy?

If so, I'm predicting a Caroline Kennedy/Mitch Landrieu (or Ben Chandler/Dan Boren) ticket.

No, I'm afraid you misunderstood the prompt. I edited it and added the details necessary so that there's no reason for Ben Chandler (D-KY) to be considered the nominee.

Would all of these clones have the same values and policies as their real life selves?

RFK is actually from NY, if you want to make them more realistic.

Yes, with possible adjustments for the times depending on when the election takes place.

I meant as the running mate. Will edit.

Sen. John Fitzgerald(MA)/Congressman Stewart Udall(AZ) v. Director George H. Bush(CT)/Sen. Elizabeth Hanford(NC)

If held in 1976, which seems like the last time Kennedy could run and the first time Elizabeth could, this map gives a 269-269 result.
