Let's clear up some misconceptions. First of all, women's rights (as well as overall prosperity, stability, modernity, etc. etc.)
were at their highest level during the 1950s and 1960s under the rule of the old king, whom the Soviets deposed. Women's rights got dramatically
worse under Soviet rule (you can't find any photos like these from the 1980s, because they don't exist).
A country that was stable, growing more prosperous, and modernizing was radically destabilized for imperialist reasons by the Soviets, who put into power a puppet government with zero popular support, guaranteeing civil war, and state collapse as soon as they left. During the course of their imperialist war of aggression, the Soviets and their Quislings
laid waste to the country and murdered half a million civilians.
