Ben Carson seems totes chill. Make drugs, not war kinda presidency I could get behind. Huckabee would be good, but he's become so, ugh, idk - mainstream? Preachy? Anti-fun?

Ugh, all are awful. I've lived under Jindal for 4 years, so I guess I'd stick with the devil I know.

The choice essentially is as follows:

Bobby Jindal - Yes, he's pandering to the far right too much, but he's also very bright, an accomplished Governor, and he has a good grasp of the issues.

Mike Huckabee - He had a good talk show and is a nice guy, but while he's right on tax policy, his fiscal record and record on crime as Governor of Arkansas are troubling.

Ben Carson - Nice guy, doesn't know what he's doing, unqualified to be President of the United States

Rick Santorum - Big government Republican who wants to ban same-sex marriage, he opposed right to work legislation, he supported raising the debt ceiling five times, he opposed NAFTA, he supports special tax treatment for manufacturing at everyone else's expense, he opposed employment verification, and he supports voting rights for felons. He's a loud mouth who would divide the country.

Ted Cruz - Slick, has no record of accomplishment, has proven he doesn't work well with others, he's the Republican Obama, no thanks.

I voted Jindal

Carson, followed by Cruz. Maybe Santorum if he talks less about the gays and more about trade.

Added bonus, he would cause two consecutive Democratic landslides.

Easy choice. Carson by faaaaar. The other four are all absolutely insanely lunatic and can't even think one single straight thought void of standard GOP dogma. Not everything Carson says is smart or well thought through (of course), but at least it doesn't come from a political manifesto made by others (GOP strategists and what have you). Probably cause he's not a politicians. He's refreshing, unlike boring types like Jindal. OMG, can you really get any more boring than Bobby Jindal?? He's worse than Cruz when it comes to being a caricature of his own party.

Not true. Santorum is a radical leftist on the minimum wage. He wants to raise it to $7.75/hr.

That doesn't make him any less insanely lunatic. Santorum is actually worse than Huckabee, Cruz and Jindal in my opinion. Do you have to remind you of his hatred for gays again? Huckabee's opposition towards gay rights/marriage becomes like peanuts compared to Santorum's disgust over anything slightly queer.
