Good evening ladies and gentlemen. I come before you today to accept to run in the same ticket with this great man, John Dibble.
I am still positivelly awed by the honor I was given here today. I can promiss you, that we, me and John Dibble will always fight for your freedom as citizens of this great nation that is called Atlasia. I know you will support us in this fight.
God bless you, God bless Atlasia.
*applause. Bono walks out*

Indeed. Some of Bono's views are alittle extreme for my taste...

Given that Bono wants to entirely abolish government, I think that having him one step away from the presidency might not be a good idea.

If I'm elected, I'm not planning on shirking my responsibilities, and I don't think there's a chance in hell I'll be assasinated, so there's not really anything to worry about.

I'm sure a few of the people who have been assassinated probably said that too. Wink

Yes, we've had so many assasinations occur here in Atlasia, it's truly heartbreaking. Wink

Hermit and Lawrence Watson both "died" in mysterious circumstances, and KEmperor was shot.

Let's have it for Anarchy!   Dibble is a good statesmen, but he's still a libertarian and when you combine that with his radical running mate you get a joke of a ticket.

I don't think that's going to happen.  There aren't many good picks, they're all running for President.

Just to save all of the candidates some time, I'll just say here that I'm not accepting any running mate offers.  I owe the citizens of District 4 a full term.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I picked Bono - he was on my list, but not my first pick(I wanted Alcon). Everyone else I wanted was already running, running for something else, or already in an elected position that I wanted them to stay in. Tongue

Also, keep in mind I did ask for suggestions and volunteers, but only Bono was suggested.

An excellent choice!

And yes, Bono wants to abolish the government, but he's pragmatic. Even if he did become president, it's not as if the Senate would let him do that.

If Jimmy Carter couldn't destroy the country, what can Bono do?

As much as Jimmy Carter did, which a lot of people agree was not very good. Tongue

If the Presidency be powerful enough to abolish government on its own, then it be best that it be abolished.

I wasn't saying that the Presidency is powerful enough to abolish government on its own, but depending on how conservative the Senate gets (it seems to get more so every election period), it could push for and achieve a lot of damaging things.

Well, "damaging" in my view, that is; they'd probably think it was great. Tongue

Good thing we have you in the Senate then. Smiley
