No - otherwise they wouldn't be universally supportive of Israel when it comes to foreign policy.

Jews have by and large been assimilated into what it means to be "white" in America. See all the references to the US as a Judeo-Christian nation.

The intellectual energy of the party is not on white nationalism, and that is not a prioirity of the majority of its members, who would gladly vote for a Marco Rubio/ Nikki Haley ticket.

And Nikki Haley says she is white.

If that is your example of diversity then you are only giving evidence to support the OP.

NO!

Maybe some white nationalists might call themselves Republicans, as an inventible side-effect of the southern strategy of Goldwater and Nixon. But they are nowhere close to the majority.

Claiming that the Republicans are white nationalists is pathetic mudslinging slander. It's just as valid as claiming the Democrats are black nationalists. There are more black nationalists in the Democrats than Republicans; does this make Democrats black nationalists?

NO!

Honestly, the answer is "No, but..."

The intellectual energy of the party is not on white nationalism, and that is not a prioirity of the majority of its members, who would gladly vote for a Marco Rubio/ Nikki Haley ticket. Or Ted Cruz and Tim Scott.

However, under a two party system it is a more attractive place for white nationalists than the party that has a disproportionately high number of African Americans and Hispanics.

There's probably going to be a well-made argument that Donald Trump represents a different kind of conservatism than the three stools. He's not really a foreign policy conservative. He's not a social conservative. He's not a fiscal conservative. But he does appeal to a fourth group. Let's call them privilege conservatives, who want to keep/ bring back the social order in which they held on to a higher share of power.

Good post

I'm not sure if "white nationalist" is the right term, but it's definitely racist.

The GOP is not a "White Nationalist Party", but it has pretty much become the party that gets most of the votes from White Nationalists, at least in primaries.  There are White Nationalist parties like the Southern Party, but they don't run candidates.  I doubt, however, that their members stopped voting.

This scenario (only with Republican Party in place of Fox News):

Well the majority of Republicans do believe Obama's a Muslim who wasn't born here. Not to mention all of the voter suppression tactics and labeling of BLM movement as domestic terrorists by conservative pundits. While the GOP probably isn't a white nationalist party they're definitely racist.

White nationalists traditionally don't like immigrants. Nor are they in favor of letting individuals determine their own ethnic/ racial categories.

Inspired by this post, I looked up Nikki Haley white. This led to possibly the stupidest political controversy I've ever seen, with some editors and writers at prestigious organizations who should be ashamed of themselves, to say nothing of operatives of the South Carolina Democratic party.

http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2011/07/indian-nikki-haley-says-she-is-white%20

http://www.salon.com/2015/06/23/the_curious_case_of_nikki_haley_what_the_republican_governor_can_tell_us_about_american_racial_identity/

The dumbest statement came from the state party chariman.

If it was advantageous to be white when registering to vote, Harpotlian is basically admitting that those charge of South Carolina was engaging in illegal practices to prevent minorities from gaining ballot access. In 2001, South Carolina had a Democratic Governor (Jim Hodges).

The fact that they have prevented DC from getting representation is a pretty obvious example. Not to mention the fact that Steve Scalise is so high up in their leadership.

The GOP is not a white nationalist party, due to the presence of high profile non-whites in the party.  However, the GOP is a party for white nationalists.

After browsing a neo nazi white nationalist website known as Stormfront, the general consensus is that the people there are more fiscally and socially conservative, but HATE neoconservatives and foreign policy hawks. They hate Israel (and Zionists) because it's a Jewish State and they hate the Republican Party for being hawkish and supporting Israel.

There's a lot of Ron Paul and Donald Trump supporters there.

Let's ask their likely nominee, the Cuban-American man.

A white Cuban-American man.

Increasingly so. The description may not be fully correct, yet (for the moment, at least Jeb Bush is part of it) - but will likely be so within a dozen years. In fact, I will not be surprized that when time comes for George P. Bush's presidential run, he will have to run as a Dem Smiley

They're well on their way. You can't deny that their policies are designed to specifically harm black people, and that's why they have such a stranglehold on the South.

Probably belaboring this point a bit too much but...

You really think when apartheid fell white nationalists would oppose wealthy white South Africans fleeing to America?  C'mon.  And Nikki Haley qualifies as Aryan by those people's twisted belief system.

The thing about Cuba is that island was run by an oppressive white regime that built the economy on black slave labor.  Again look at the faces of the poor oppressed refugees that had to flee Cuba (Rubio, Cruz) and then look at the faces of the average person on the street in Cuba.  Notice anything?  Historical Cuba is a white nationalists dream.

There aren't enough votes for that to be a viable strategy in 20 years, so unless the GOP becomes a third party, that will not happen.

It's a nationalist party, and a mostly white party.   Which will sometimes combine in unsavory ways.

Let's call them privilege conservatives

please let's not.

No - otherwise they wouldn't be universally supportive of Israel when it comes to foreign policy.

To be fair, a good chunk of white nationalists are very supportive of the "lesser peoples" who enforce similar components of nationalism within their borders and "keep to their kind". It's actually a pretty common talking point among them: something to the effect of "we don't want to get rid of them; we just want them to live among themselves and live where they oughta live", etc etc.
