sodom and gomorrah are atlasian cultural landmarks, and need a new home now that they've been defaced by the pacific's oversensitive theocrats.

How are they cultural landmarks, not many people talk about them at all, it's a stupid bill and really in a eorfect universe the individual city would vote and decide their name but also Portland and Portsmouth are Atlasian and American cultural landmarks.

i mean the concept of sodom and gomorrah more than the actual pacific cities.

I really don't care about the Pacific's (apparently) ridiculous politics, and would veto this bill.

Ehh, I'm uneasy, regardless of intent, about acknowledging anything out of the Bible in government. I'll have a hard time supporting.

I'd be willing to support that, without clause three.

Seriously? This is ridiculous. It's clear that it's intended only to spite Classic Conservative.

I seriously thank all of my friends for seeing the truth, I know it's pretty clear Evergreen despises me and so does their Justice Oaklave who told me to resign yesterday, but seriously it's getting ridiculous Evergreen it truly is and it's time to stop it no wonder people hate you beacuse theirs reasons to.

Well, if I get a chance I will likely propose an amendment to the N.E. Constitution that guarantees a separation of religion and state in which the assembly may not enact any measure that endorses religion period. Considering the madness the Pacific legislature recently approved (writing anti-abortion/choice language into a pledge or a slogan? - really?), I think we could use that anyway.

The current version's more agreeable, but I'd still veto it. I think the Pacific's actions atm are stupid, but I see no reason to pass a law to spite them.

This seems on the more reasonable side.

I'd support that - I don't believe that religion has a place in politics.

i really wish we wouldn't surrender to the hypersensitive right-wing language police like this :I

and again, this measure doesn't endorse a religion, it honors an integral part of atlasian culture.

Yeah, no, this is ridiculous. Surely freedom of religion also means not having the government go out of its way to insult or aggravate your religion, too?

Like I said before, I don't see the point for this. If the Pacific government wants to do something ridiculously reactionary, let them respond to the voters. I'm sure some talented Atlasian will eventually make their way there if they see the opportunity. On the point of renaming cities, I'm not really that big on it, and as much as Dallasfan and Sawx have contributed (small tangent: I really hope they let Sawx back one day), I don't really care for it.

If the only reason behind this bill is spiting Classic Conservative, then it's a good bill.
