should be pretty self-explanatory -- i'd like for the northeast to have some influence in space exploration, especially in case we do end up becoming independent.

As a huge supporter of space exploration, I support most of this bill. However, I feel that Delaware is too far North to build a spaceport. The Northeast really isn't a good place to launch rockets out of.

eh

rehoboth beach is at 39°N, compared to 46°N for baikonur

see, cc, this was before your time, but averroës nix is widely regarded as one of the best presidents in atlasian history. i think naming a spaceport after him would be, if anything, underwhelming. Tongue

Russia doesn't really have any good places either, though. The Northeast is a part of a bigger country. Somewhere like Florida, Texas, Puerto Rico, or Hawaii would work much better. Why settle for less when we don't have to?

america, russia, and china all have multiple launch sites, at varying latitudes within the country. i think it's worth it
