So if if a serial killer gets acquitted at trial, but later solid evidence is uncovered on his guilt, and he even admits it, the public isn't supposed to hate him just because he wasn't convicted in court?  

That reasoning is ridiculous.  People rightfully hate people like Bill Cosby and George Zimmerman, even if they aren't legally convicted.

Um WTF? No we don't. "Innocent until proven guilty" is a standard that applies to juries in deciding whether to convict someone. Private individuals are NOT bound to use that standard in deciding whether they personally believe someone committed a crime.
