Beyond the obvious similarities (age, profession, temperament, ideology and so forth), it is interesting that in recent times, we both switched parties (in opposite directions), and I think in both instances, it was due more to local conditions in our respective localities than anything else. It does suggest in any event, that neither of us is in love with either party.
