They are some rumors that President Obama will back Biden for president under one condition-If Biden wins the nomination, he picks Deval Patrick, former Massachusetts governor in the summer of 2016 as his vice presidential nominee-paving the way for a Patrick presidency in January 2021. Do you think a Biden/Patrick ticket would do well nationally?

I think it's important for Biden to either choose someone who is a woman or Latino.

Playing the coalition card or is it the quota card? Does it really matter?

Deval Patrick seems like a really poor choice for running mate/ 2020 heir apparent.

He didn't get a majority of the vote running for reelection in Massachusetts, one of Obama's best states. And the stress of his job was so hard on his wife that he considered resigning after she was hospitalized for exhaustion and depression.

The importance of having new perspectives on a national ticket and in the WH...card.

I could see Patrick going for cabinet or something, but not VP for both of those reasons (especially the second).

Amy Kloubachar would be the strongest VP candidate for Biden, and, possibly, for Hillary as well.

In the latter case, they could drive the gender gap through the roof.

It's a decent way to counter a likely Latino/Woman ticket on the GOP side, but Anthony Foxx may be a better choice - young, Mayor turned cabinet official, and from a swing state.

would he feed the progressive energy? If Biden wants a moderate black northeastern VP then he'll go with Booker (although he's a much worse politico)

Booker is the far superior choice.
Guy has gaffes but so does Biden.  They'd be the straight talk ticket.
