Northeast set for three closely fought elections in October New York, Northeast The Northeast could have three close elections and referendums in October, with polling suggesting only one vote separates the leader from the pack in the Senate, Governor and Independence battles.
Northeast Senate This poll suggests that Oakvale (NNP) and rpryor03 (CR) are level pegging - with five Northeasters saying they would support each candidate (one was undecided). rpryor03 was backed by the one Civic Renewal resonant, three Federalists and a TPP member than answered the poll, whereas Oakvale had the support of the three Northeast National Party members and two Labour members. The undecided voter was a Labour member.
Oakvale (NNP) - 5 (45%) rpryor03 (CR) - 5 (45%) Don't Know - 1 (9%)
Northeast Governor Another close race is expected in the Gubernatorial battle, with one vote difference between ClarkKent, Clyde1998 and Pikachu. Clyde1998 received support from four respondents (3 NNP; 1 Lab), ClarkKent from three (all Fed) and Pikachu from three (1 TPP; 1 Lab; 1 CR). There was another Labour don't know.
It's unclear how the race would be affected should Pikachu choose not to stand as a candidate - however it's likely to throw the race wide open.
Clyde1998 (NNP) - 4 (36%) ClarkKent (Fed) - 3 (27%) Pikachu (TPP) - 3 (27%) Don't Know - 1 (9%)
Independence A close race is developing on the independence front. The unionists are ahead, but the nationalists are only one vote behind in this poll.
Not surprisingly, members of the pro-independence Northeast National Party back independence - along with two of the three Labour respondents. The rest of the people surveyed said they would oppose independence.
Yes - 5 (45%) No - 6 (55%)
Extra Powers? Another question was asked based on the powers that the Northeast should have should it remain in Atlasia. Seven people voted for extra exclusive powers (or devolution), while three supported the status quo - one didn't know.
Devolution received support from across the political spectrum - with only one Federalist, a Labour member and a Civic Renewal member opposed to it.
Increased exclusive powers to the Northeast (Devolution) - 7 (64%) Status Quo - 3 (27%) Don't Know - 1 (9%)
