...what? Is she a protectionist now?

No, but she is running in the Democratic primaries, so...

WTF?

Disregard everything I've ever posted about her. I guess I'm an O'Malley guy now (?), unless Biden jumps in.

This is unfortunate, and I wish she would support it, but the revolting display of misogyny towards her by this forum is unsurprising.

You don't have to specifically mention gender to be a misogynist.

Wish I could trust that she was telling the truth but I don't.

Does it matter for the immediate future of the TPP? She's come out publicly against it, which is as much influence on this version as she's ever going to have. Sure, a future President Clinton could support something just as bad or worse, but that'll be a couple years from now.

"This TPP sets the gold standard in trade agreements to open free, transparent, fair trade, the kind of environment that has the rule of law and a level playing field. And when negotiated, this agreement will cover 40 percent of the world's total trade and build in strong protections for workers and the environment" - Hillary in 2012

I think the attitude by many Clinton supporters towards Elizabeth Warren was misogynistic.

I gotta LOL at Democrats embracing free trade just because Obama is (but I welcome you voting with the Congressional GOP!!) and at Republicans who oppose it just because Obama doesn't (GTFO of the GOP, you small minded yokel idiots).

Is it possible that this is her ACTUAL ORIGINAL DEFAULT position and she only supported it as SoS because her job is to implement and champion her boss' policies?

Maybe. It's said she was against NAFTA behind the scenes.

Wouldn't the proper response be to wait at least until it's possible to read what's in it before taking a position?

I'm guessing she has a good idea what's in it, given her role as this monster's Dr Frankenstein.

I still support TPP. Disappointing that this won't get the true bipartisan support it deserves

God willing this is the trigger for Big Joe to jump in on a platform of loyally championing the Obama agenda and give Hillary the good trashing she's earned.

I don't know why anyone would trust her on this. She has quite a record of flip flops.

Here's what she said last year when Obama was no longer her boss.

And this is the single biggest reason why I am rethinking my support for her candidacy -that and her backing for a repeal of the so-called Cadillac tax without proposing anything to replace it.

Chafee goes for the pro-TPP line, and accuses Clinton of flip-flopping:
