Several posts have attempted to simulate, American politics with Canadian Federal Parties, however this causes a problem as the USA has a two party system, with third parties not being able to gain much in the way of votes. I though I would do this with BC as, BC has very much a two party system, with two parties on opposite ends of the political spectrum.

BC Liberal- Free Enterprise, Conservative Party. Supports Balanced Budget, low Taxes (however has supported a carbon Tax), LNG and oil Natural Gas Development, has for the most part stuck to Fiscal Conservatism, has not taken a stance on most Soc ail Conservative issues. Support is Highest in the North, Okanagan and Fraser Vally, Parts of Vancouver and Suburbs. Center Right Lead by Christy Clark

BC NDP Social Democratic Party, associated to Federal NDP has attempted to move closer to the political center in recent years, supports unions, workers rights, environmental rights, Biggest support on VI, Southern Interior, Vancouver Eastsidside, parts of Surrey, and Vancouver Suburbs,Center-Left   Lead by John Horgan

Green Party -BC third party, concentrated support on VI, supports a platform of Environmental Sustainability, center   Leadership is currently vacant, but Andrew Weaver is the Green part loan MLA and Defacto leader.

Liberal president elected:

Liberal president reelected. Strong showing by Green, which merely allows the Liberals to win traditionally NDP states:

Uh oh, it's a recession! Looks like the liberals aren't getting elected this time!

I think the Tories deserve a mention here. They'd almost certainly do better than the 4% they got last time.

If we are just looking at Liberals vs. NDP, the main difference is that the Liberals would do much better with socially liberal suburbanites than today's GOP. On the other hand, the NDP would own poor whites/the rust belt more.
