Strickland is the strongest challengers, this race is going to be a pickup; despite most pundits having it LR rating.

Toomey's ceiling is 42%. Republicans simply can't win Pennsylvania in a presidential year. Heck, the GOP has a better chance of picking up the open seat in CA than keeping this seat in Republican hands.

I would be thoroughly shocked if Strickman defeats Portman.

Those Florida polls strike me as near-useless with everyone in the 30s. Murphy can get over 50% when the numbers settle, Grayson can't.

Where do you get this particular percentage from?

He's mocking one of our notable posters who actually said Toomey had a worse chance than a Republican in the California Senate race.

Ah, I see. I already hoped that this post was satirical, but didn't want to spend too much energy on it.

Encouraging numbers in FL, but holding out on too much optimism.

Solid in Ohio. Looking positive there.

PA is consistently looking like it will leave contention, but you never know.

This is the same poll that showed strange results on the presidential level. With that said, in this poll, Toomey is over-performing the Republican ticket, while Portman is under-performing it. That's a bit surprising to me.

Toomey's floor is probably closer to 45%. If the GOP loses the Presidency and he loses his Senate seat, he could start tearing up for Governor.

Wolf is a great gov and he is going to have a great 2 terms, Pa usually keeps a Gov around for two terms, Corbett was the only exception.

You're right. Republicans should give up on a race in a fairly competitive state three years out. You should be a Republican strategist, and advise Republicans to give up on this race and the OH senate race.

Wolf is a great Gov and Bob Casey Jr is on ballot who is a progun advocate; and so is Strickland which neutralize that issue.

But with Trump instead of Jeb on ballot dems are favored.

olitics1.com @Politics1com
OH USSEN DEM (PPP): ex-Gov Ted Strickland 61%, Cincinnati City Councilman PG Sittenfeld 10%, occup therapist Kelli Prather 10%.

So, is Sittenfeld going to prather on and on about how he's still a viable opponent to Strickland?

The polls have consistently shown Portman in serious trouble. I don't know how anyone can rate it more than a toss up at this point.

^I don't know, Democrats haven't done too well in statewide races in Ohio. Strickland's leads haven't been huge, so I'd hesitate to call him the favorite. I certainly don't buy Portman trailing Strickland while Toomey easily leads.

The fact that Alan Grayson is leading causes me to throw out this otherwise reasonably believable poll series.

Pat J Toomey & Ted Strickland may very well win, not the other way around. Because Dems have a Bob Casey Dem running in Ohio.

Grayson will NOT win the Senate seat if he is the nominee, plain and simple.

NH and NV  are clearly tipping point races and Toomey is very much vulnerable. And Dems should concentrate on Ohio, should Grayson get nominated for 50/51 seats.
