Alaska was one of Perot's best states which I realized is kind of ironic, despite it's independent streak and like of third party candidacies, Alaska is one of the worst states for Perot's platform. Perot ran on reducing the deficit and cutting wasteful spending, not something that'd help well in such a pork loving federal money taking state and protectionism. Free trade is pretty vital to Alaska's economy as it serves an international travel hub and probably does much trade with Canada.

Something to think about. His voters probably weren't considering the full implications of his platform in many states.

Something to be said of anyone who has ever voted.  Nothing to see here, move along now.

Why should voters consider someone's full platform if they rarely even do 10% of what they say they will?
