I'd actually rank them in the same order as it is in the poll itself.

Kansas City, Missouri, is my choice out of this lot.

All of those states are depressing as hell, but I'll go with Missouri.

Missouri is an absolutely dreadful place.

Kansas, followed by Iowa and Nebraska.

I would love to hear what makes Kansas better than Missouri.

MO sucks, and I love the Cardinals, and enjoy KC.  Worst drivers in the land (excluding the South and the North East).  Sure Kansas is boring, but it doesn't actively suck.  Iowa and Nebraska are both much better than either.

Tough call. I have close family born in two, and family currently living in two. I've lived in two, and traveled in all four. KC is a decent metro, and I have close family there, so that would be my bias. However, I'm not sure if I'd choose Johnson county KS or Clay county, MO. There some adjacent rural counties that are nice as well - close enough to get into the city when desired.

Iowa because it actually has places in it that meet the "all liberal, all the time" criteria.

Your sounding like Donald Trump. Losers as in... people are rude, angry, boring, etc?

1. Missouri (Kansas City, St. Charles, other nice St. Louis suburbs)
2. Kansas (Johnson County or Lawrence)
3. Nebraska (Omaha)
4. Iowa (Des Moines)

Call me a traitor. There's a whole lot more to do in Missouri than there is in Kansas.

That's not surprising. Kansas is boring and empty as all hell.

Iowa seems like the least boring state of the lot -- not to mention the fact that my vote would matter just a little bit more.

Well, since we're into city talk, I'll tell you I was quite impressed with Omaha.  Went there for a conference and thought I'd be bored to effing tears, but it was a very nice town, things to do, great food.
