Entertainers having political views and sometimes indicating what they are isn't a problem IMO. It's only an issue if they constantly throw them in your face.

Many real country musicians, as opposed to the 'new country' musicians are Democrats.  Robert Earl Keen, Kelly Willis and Bruce Robinson, probably Kacey Musgraves, Willie Nelson most of the time, Nanci Griffith, Steve Earle, John Mellencamp and Roseanne Cash, just to name a few.

I hope this doesn't have any effect on the polls, not just because I don't want another Clinton, but I don't think musicians and hollywood actors are trustworthy sources of political advice. I think that the views of celebrities are no better then the views than anyone else, and thus I strongly believe that celebrities should have less influence in society especially if they're just musicians.

The radio in my car is always tuned to the local country station. Other than EDM, country is my favorite genre.

Anyway, I don't think Katy Perry is a very good singer, but then again, I like a lot of terrible music.

Well, I clearly missed that Tongue Lol. I only knew she started as a singer of Christian songs and her family really didn't like the "I Kissed A Girl" song, so it made sense, I guess.
