Anyone who says the Democratic Party is going to become the party of the "elites" and the GOP is going to become this bastion for pro-worker policies needs to listen to any Republican or Democrat alive speak.

Webb is done. I am honestly saddened

Your PM score isn't exactly up Webb's alley ... Maybe you both hate Lincoln or something?

Not watching it, but politicians who talk about the middle class are generally tiresome and annoying.

Yeah: Democrats.

This debate reminds me why I have totally cut my ties to the Pub party. We want it all, and we want it now, and the rich and financiers can pay for it all. It's just so simple really.

And the candidates agree mostly on everything, so none of the well, yes, but, stuff, gets aired at all. And Anderson Cooper is not a policy wonk, or has done much homework on that apparently, as opposed to who said what in the past to whom.

What on Earth?

Lol at these Republucans whining about this debate. As opposed to the faux debate reality show that is the GOP?

... Yes.  It is way more interesting.

This is just a debate about who cares about poor people and the middle class MORE.

LOL, they're all Democrats, they're all going to support policies that help the millions who get them elected.  We get it.

Pretty sure the first paragraph was fairly thick sarcasm.  Smiley

Hillary comes in with strong support for the Patriot Act. Up to Sanders now.

Of course she supports it. She wants as much government power as possible. At least Sanders values SOME liberty.

Haha, except when it comes to economic liberty over money you've earned ... that belongs to poorer people.

I said some, not all.

Oh, I know; I was agreeing with you.  I guess it didn't read as such over the internet, haha.

I think O'Malley and Webb have come across very well.  I disagree with both of their politics pretty strongly, but they're likable and sound like they have strong convictions.

Anyone else here have an even more negative opinion of Clinton now after this debate?

Pretty much any normal person who isn't already in her support bag.

That was objectively a pro-immigration ad ... didn't seem too high on illegal immigration, though.

Sanders being associated with Socialism and Revolution in this debate.

LOL. Not good word association for Bernie.
Hey, that Revolution that gave us our freedom worked out pretty well.

Good thing we had some guns to fight it with. Wink

Clinton has won. Now, whether CNN spins it as such is up in the air, but I think she has the best replayable zingers, so I'd expect her position to rise. Some Bernie support may go to O'Malley.

And I have to say, you could drive a truck through the holes in a lot of the economic arguments of these candidates. I think this election is the GOP's to lose.

But ... middle class!

Time for the grades

Hillary, she did what she needed to do. Of course the people who hate her are going to say she did bad, but to those undecideds and soft supporters she proved herself

Sanders: He was a crazy old man. His supporters like that, but it came off as off-putting to say the least

O'Malley: If Sanders falls, he will be the recipient of his support. Did very well, no bad gaffes. Obvious that he is running to be a cabinet appointment under Clinton with his attack on Sanders and guns.

Other two: One was racist and the other a babbling buffoonery. Nothing more.

On Sanders, that's coming from an undecided who was leaning to him until tonight.

How the flying F UCK was Jim Webb "racist"?  Some of you are so afraid of what other people will call you that you've adapted absurd views.  Webb isn't gaining any points with the groups he needs to, but to call him racist is literally slander.

1. O'Malley

2. Clinton, Sanders
3. Webb

4. Chafee

How anyone can rank it differently is beyond me.

But but but Webb said affirmative action for blacks only! Dat's racist!

Haha, that actually would be more technically racist than saying it should be only based on socioeconomic status ... but you'd never know that from listening to a bunch of Democrats arguing.

Since we've decided it's racist to say "All lives matter" then is Hillary Clinton sexist for this?

You've been sounding like a Republican lately.  Come over to the dark side Marokai!

I'm not secretly right-wing, I'm just a pedant.

I guess your PM score indicates you're looking at the whole thing from pretty far on the left, but not all Republicans are "right-wing."
