Just a note, as Governor of the Midwest, should Senator Cassius be expelled, my likeliest course of action will be to appoint who is ever elected next weekend to the seat early, allowing the Midwest to gain a seniority edge over other new senators.

I have contacted both of them and asked them to speak if they wish to do so before the debate concludes. I am not sure if anyone had done this before or not, but I feel that if they are still within earshout the opportunity ought to be presented.

Seriously though, just have CIncy close the votes and things should be fine. He can just say "Cris was acting President of the SEnatE" for the purposes of the vote" and thus the vote passed 7-0 with Cris barred from voting under the rules.


Not as polished as BK's loophole abuse, but it will do. Tongue

For the purposes of this vote Senator Cris was acting President of the Senate and lawfully administered this expulsion process, therefore, his vote in favor will not be officially recognized.  I hereby certify the successful expulsion of Senator Cassius with a vote of 7 ayes and 0 nays.
