Virginia State Senate- Republicans will pick up 2 Democratic seats.
Virginia House of Delegates- Republicans will pick up 1 Democratic seat overall.

Well, talleyrand is predicting the worst scenario. I dont think that will happen but I can understand why he's predicting that.

Now very pessimistic about VA with the whole tolls issue.  Think a couple NOVA Dem senate seats will be lost over this.

I mean it could make things closer than it should be in SD-29, but Democrats have won big in that seat every year since 09. Even Warner won it 56-41 last year, which was only a 3.16% Republican swing from McAuliffe in 2013. Also a lot of this district is in the Dale City, which means the tolls on I-66 mean nothing to these folks.

I should also qualify this by saying I think the Democrats come 1 seat short of the Senate again. I just don't think it will be the 29th.

So this is a bit irrelevant, but I just learned that the former secretary at my elementary school is running for State Senate (she's currently on the county school board). It's pretty much guaranteed that she'll win considering the district leans heavily Republican, the incumbent is retiring, and she's already an elected government official.

I hate her so much.

Run against her in a few years when NC becomes fair districting

Dems are so good at redistributing they controlled the House for nearly forty years with just a few breaks from 1960 to 1994.
