I too am shocked at this turn of events. I still voted FF because of his arguments with libertarians, his being a revsoc who isn't TNF, and his being a cool guy who I suspect might be joking a little.

Amusing but confusing; why would you oppose your best option? If you can't have chocolate cake, isn't it better to have a less satisfying dessert, like yellow cake or ice cream, than asparagus? I think the disconnect between people like me (I still consider myself a socialist even though I changed my avatar) and people like d32123 is that while I support socialism, I'm not a single issue "socialism is awesome" voter/person; I think that social democracy, despite its flaws, is preferable to the current system in the United States, and I think that revolutionary socialism is undesirable, and I don't think it will actually happen. America voting its way to socialism is highly unlikely, but it's more likely than a revolution coming, let alone a revolution successfully imposing a socialist utopia with no problems for anyone. I know that revsocs like to ridicule people like me for thinking that way, but they have yet to convince me that they're right.
