Rempel is running for interim, backed by LeBel, and seems to think it's a done deal. Not happy that someone so underqualified would get the leader's post.

Ambrose predicted on QP that Kenney, Raitt, Leitch, Clement and MacKay will run.

Leitch, MacKay and Raitt will headline a NSPC fundraiser tomorrow. Leitch sounds in, and MacKay sounds like he's leaning in: "No one is expecting he will launch his leadership bid Monday night, but he may use the venue to promote his vision for the region and the country."

Taber:Leitch has pissed people off by jumping the gun, calls are being made on Kenney and Raitt's behalf, Clement is considering and insiders expect MacKay to run.

As DL said, leadership polls are crap, but here's another one showing MacKay with a big lead.

Clement is organizing a bid, assuming that Kenney won't run and may return to Alberta to lead the smoking hulk.

Moore isn't running. Rest is usual stuff from usual suspects - hoped for better from Ibbitson. Like say, interviewing a single Blue MP.

One PKP is bad enough. And needless to say, the leadership should always be in professional hands.

Bernier is on my list, along with Clement and Raitt. As for "buying opportunities"... between that, culture cuts and a generally meh early campaign, cost us a majority that year IMO.

Kady O'Malley crunches fundraising numbers, concluding that Kenney and Bernier are the best fundraisers.

Simpson profiles Deltell, suggesting he could be a contender. I highly doubt that, but he would be an excellent Quebec lieutenant for the next leader.

There isn't any. Reds have Raitt & maybe MacKay, we Blues have Kenney, libertarians have Bernier.
