The 'I'm a woman' thing is really grating on me, constantly turning everything into some sort of sexist attack.

Bernie deserves to be reprimanded for such an incompetent remark in any way possible.

Maybe, but Hillary's response was worse.

I find the notion that we should "stop shouting" about an epidemic as deadly as gun violence to be considerably more offensive than a woman making a truthful comment about sexism, but maybe that's just me.

Bernie is in a constant state of shouting and has the nerve to say Hillary was "shouting". His implication is clear.

For IA and NH Hillary can't rely on non-white voters so she is trying to run up her numbers with white women. They know that it may put off some men but they have made the calculation that it makes sense for her to do it.

Insinuating your primary opponent is a misogynist is a great way to win over his supporters when your going to need them in a GE. I think A LOT of Sanders supporters will be staying home next year.

I think a lot of them will be voting for Jill Stein. I'm leaning in that direction myself.

I think she's going to do historically bad with men next year if she overplays her gender too much. I remember the Q poll where 70% of white men had an unfavorable view of her, winning the woman vote by a decent margin is meaningless if your losing just as many men.

Sexist undertones should not be ignored simply because of a potential political risk. Another piece of common sense that Hillary acknowledges and the Sandersistas throw a fit about.

But it clearly wasn't sexist. His point was that people need to stop drawing lines in the sand over gun control, not that Clinton being passionate about something was shouting.

Please... infinitely worse things were said between Obama and Hillary in 08' and that wasn't the case.

She's really overplayed the gender card. During the debate she claimed being a woman made her an outsider. It's a nice shiny card to distract people from the issues. Bernie isn't going to play the I'm not a Christian card.

That debate answer was cringe worthy it might have played well some in the crowd, but can you imagine her saying in a GE debate? Overplay is too much you might start turning off woman voters who think its patronizing.

2008 had an important unifying factor: Everyone wanted Bush out ASAP, and the Democrats were able to paint McCain as "McSame". Besides, Obama never accused McCain of being racist, at least as far as I remember.

Even then...

Honestly can you imagine what people would be saying about Hillary had she been the one yelling into the microphone the whole time and frantically waving her arms around like Bernie did?

Bernie Sanders started off the Democratic Debate literally shouting. I don't know if he thought his mic wasn't working or not. Kind of funny he would tell Hillary to stop shouting over gun violence.

It wasn't directed at her. For example, before the debate.

It's traditional Atlas, suddenly young middle-class white men understand delicate issues of sexual politics.

Her tweeted comment doesn't even make any sense.  "We're not shouting, it's just when women talk, some people think we're shouting."  Is that meant to be taken literally?  Because Bernie meant it literally, right?  Does she think that men have never heard women talk before and can't tell the difference between when women are talking and when they're shouting?
