Finally, this compares Conway's performance to the average of the other 5 Democrats. The two-party result of the Governor's race was 54.5/45.5 for Bevin's. The two-party average of the other 5 races was 54.2/45.8 in the Republicans' favor. Conway ran ahead of the rest of the Democratic ticket in the red counties, behind them in the blue ones.

Why was the 6th favorable to the Democrats except for Treasurer and Ag Commissioner?

Also, here's an interactive map comparing Beshear (blue), who put together a successful coalition, to Edelen (red), who fell slightly short.

The Beshear's are from out west, so that explains all the blue out there. Edelen generally hit his marks in eastern-central KY, but for some reason, performed badly near Cincinnati.

Why was the 6th favorable to the Democrats except for Treasurer and Ag Commissioner?

For Ag Commissioner Quarles is from Scott County, just north of Lexington. CD6 was his best district in the primary. I'm not really sure about the Treasurer's race. CD6 was the only district to vote against Ball in the primary.
