Haven't been able to watch this sh**tshow but judging by commentary, this is a big win for Red-Blooded Conservative Ted Cruz and HIGH ENERGY WINNER TRUMP -- at least when the latter is given the chance to speak! A winning debate duo preparing for their mutual ascension to the White House!

I am convinced that the best moves some of these candidates could make for these campaigns would be to walk off the stage. This is ridiculous. I would look so favourably on even Ted Cruz if he said something like "it's clear this debate is a sham for the political elite Republican establishment" and left.

Shockingly, having no debate rule is an awful idea.

Rand Paul copies the successful debate strategy of Jim Webb.

Rubio, champion of common people, hires someone to do his dry-cleaning.

You do your own dry cleaning?

Doesn't that require expensive machinery?

As a matter of fact, I do. I channel all of the hot air generated by this forum into my laundry room and it works like a charm.

I repeat what I stated earlier, CNBC should never be allowed to moderate a debate ever again.

I agree Hagrid. A mass walkout is appropriate at this point.

I repeat what I stated earlier, CNBC should never be allowed to moderate a debate ever again.

They did a fantastic job in 2011, but it seems like instead of having a structured debate platform they went for the 'oh  it' method instead.

The result is obvious, the logic behind it is perplexing.

Trump is killing it.

The anger is directed at the moderators, not him and he's doing much better.

Rand Paul was never not done.  A total loser.  Sold out his principles and yet still couldn't even match his loser father's support.  Even most of the lolbertarians I know wrote the guy off months ago.  He should quit now before he humiliates himself any further and take his neo-confederate ass back to Kentucky.

They just asked Trump questions back to back...

As befits the presumptive nominee.

I think one of the biggest headlines of the night is the fact that, aside from Kasich's opening question, none of the other candidates is attacking Trump or Carson, nor are they attacking each other.  Trump's also not really attacking the other candidates, except in very veiled ways, like his criticism of Super PACs.

I don't like what's happening at this debate. Sad I hate that I have to do this, but I guess I am hoping the establishment gets behind Rubio. Trump scares me. Cruz is going to surge. Fiorina's garbage answers are going to trick people who know nothing.

Violently agree. Trump and Carson actually seem sane here. Kasichs little rant made him look like the lunatic.

Finally giving the frontrunner his well-earned speaking time! The moderators' first good decision of the night!
