Thread inspired by continued failure for Kascih campaign to buy their candidate a corset or a few intensive sessions in finishing school to work on his fycking abysmal posture.

Marco Rubio looks like a baby and sweats like a dog. NOT presidential.

Trump looks like a fat John Boehner who was left out in the sun too long.

I don't think O'Malley looks remotely presidential to me, honestly. The only candidates who look presidential are Kasich, Christie, maybe Rubio when he gets a bit older, maybe Bush, and maybe Clinton.

Attractiveness, electability, and politics aside: Out of the dozens of candidates, who realistically could be standing at the podium speaking to their nation as President:

1) Martin O'malley
2) Marco Rubio
3) Ted Cruz
4) Jeb Bush
5) Hillary Clinton
6) Jim Webb

Chris Christie is an incredibly sexy and beautiful man. Y'all need to stop fat shaming and check your thin privilege.

For those including Rubio, I urge you to go watch some video of him speaking, either extemporaneous or rehearsed. Or just watch the debate tonight. He doesn't have "it".

Yes, if he keeps his mouth shut, and you judge solely on still photos, he qualifies. But if we're going with a moving image with sound, I don't think he makes the cut. Those who do:

Jeb
Hillary
Fiorina

Jeb looks way too goofy to be President.

Most Presidential looking:

1. George Pataki (he looks like a movie President, if he weren't such a hopeless figure of the past he would be the frontrunner for the GOP)
2. Hillary Clinton (if any woman could look classically Presidential, it would be Hillary)
3. Chris Christie (his cheek bones are high enough, that plus a three piece suit would make him look a lot more Presidential. He's about as Presidential as a man that fat could be.)
4. Carly Fiorina (looks kind of like a Prime Minister, which I suppose works)
5. Rick Santorum (take away his gravelly voice, his penchant for sweater vests, and you get a guy who, on paper, looks pretty Presidential)

Least Presidential Looking:

1. Bernie Sanders (c'mon)
2. Rand Paul (THAT HAIR!)
3. John Kasich (Presidents have posture, Kasich looks like a frisbee)
4. Ben Carson (how can a surgeon have webbed hands? Much less a president)
5. Ted Cruz (that mug is definitely very unpresidential)

For people saying that Kasich looks Presidential - this isn't about who you like, this is purely superficial.

On the Democratic side, Martin O'Malley reminds me of Bill Clinton: a young, handsome, "southern" (Maryland is the north/south border, and he has a southern accent) Governor. O'Malley, however, would be a much better candidate for the furtherance of progressive ideas than Bill Clinton was.

On the Republican side, I would go with Jeb Bush.

I maintain that Mitt Romney's entire career was down to his looks, so this is a less silly question than you might think. We need Simfan to come in and tell us about the candidate's dress sense though.

I think O'Malley's problem is he looks... a little doofy. He looks like someone's dad who tells bad jokes. Presidents aren't doofy. President's tell deeply meaningful anecdotes.

Clinton definitely, especially in her current haircut. Late 90s Fiorina did before all of her botox.

Male Presidents need to be tall and in decent shape, so Trump (even more with his 1980s Art of the Deal cover hair), Santorum, and Jeb. Ben Carson in still photographs looks Presidential, but he doesn't emote enough when he moves his mouth. Kasich's slouch is also a knock. Pataki is too sad all the time.

The rest are all too short, clammy, and/or fat.

I'm tempted to say only Hillary, but that might be a subconscious bias that she's one of the only two women in the race ... As King alluded to, Fiorina looks like she's had a little work done.  And for some reason, female politicians always look a little more put together up there than their old, sweaty male counterparts.  Rubio would be the closest for the GOP.  God, I don't even know what Pataki or Gilmore looks like.

lol. He's the most aesthetically appealing man that's seen the GOP debate stage besides Romney. It's like some people love lieing to themselves to sleep better at night about silly subjects.

Tbh the last Presidential candidate who looked presidential for the GOP side was Jon Huntsman and Romney.
