He only got 200 votes out of the Republican Conference, which means he needs to get 18 more between today and tomorrow, lol!

You need to either hose down your crotch or stop thinking about Paul Ryan.

Exactly.  Think of all the pork Ryan could deliver to your district.

The House Freedom Caucus reminds me of SJWs.  They don't really have a specific goal in mind, they'll just keep moving down the spectrum so they can always have a "fight" to be a part of.

I don't care about 'pork' and besides all the other issues, any last chance of me voting for him was crushed with him supporting this budget deal.

Paul Ryan's Speakership will be yet another farce, just like Gingrich, Hastert, and Boehner. Hopefully it will be under Ryan's tenure that we finally break the GOP in the House and put the grown ups back in charge.

I watched a recording of the vote on CSPAN last night.  I saw that Graham (FL) voted for Cooper (TN).
I wasn't sure who Cooper voted for and also not sure who cast the vote for Gen Colin Powell.

Anyone know the answers to the last two items?

Maybe I am color blind, but it looks like Blue for Dems and Red for the GOP to me.

Ryan was the VP candidate in 2012, eventhough he shows his conservatism, I think he wants to make deals, not partisanship. He knows, that the partisanship brought down Boehner especially if Hilary becomes prez, and he wants to strike some sort of deal on immigration.

Cooper voted for Powell.  He always does for some reason.  Hope that solves both questions.

I think it has been edited since Ryan's election. When I first looked at it Ryan was listed as the 62nd Speaker, as I confirmed when I responded to another thread.

Interestingly he is being called the 54th Speaker by some sources. I presume that comes from only counting an individual once even if they served as Speaker on two separate occasions.

Now Wikipedia matches the number quoted by the press which is 54th Speaker, not double-counting return Speakers. My guess is the colors were edited then as well.
