Report.

Cooper (D) - 44%
McCrory (R) - 43%

McCrory (R) - 46%
Spaulding (D) - 31%

McCrory's approvals are 36/49 while Cooper is still pretty anonymous, 31/21

Well, I still believe Mcrory will win but Cooper will likely overperform Hillary.

Even if Hillary Clinton loses North Carolina, then it won't be by much. Outperforming her and still winning in North Carolina will be statistically difficult.

Not really, Kerry lost NC, and Easly in 2004 won. If Clinton wins FL and not NC, its still possible for Cooper to win.

This race is the main reason why Democrats should invest in North Carolina. It's by far their best chance at picking up a governor's mansion.

In fact a good investment on a presidential level could bring a governor and a senator along.

I think Hillary will lose NC by a Kerry-esque margin, she's doing worse with whites and black turnout won't be the same as 08/12 without Obama on the ballot. McCory being a relatively scandal free incumbent in a state with a strong economy will likely be re-elected.
