Article.

Not currently thought to be foul play, though some ISIS types took "credit" for the crash on Twitter.

Apparently the military has detected infared activity over the Sinai near the plane. It might have been shot down after all.

I'm guessing it was ISIS.

Don't be silly, it's clearly the Ukrainians.

My hunch is mid-air collision with MH 370.

If this pans out, I believe this would be the biggest ISIS or ISIS-inspired attack outside of Syria/Iraq.

What will Russia do in response?

As awful as it is that the bomb theory is becoming more likely, it's somewhat more reassuring to me that this wasn't a case of planes falling apart mid-air due to structural failures.  Thats a terrifying prospect for flyers everywhere

I don't know, the prospect of Jihadis or ISIS-sympathizers working at airports sneaking bombs onto a plane isn't exactly comforting either. At least when I'm flying with an airline that has a halfway decent reputation I'm pretty sure they've done a good job concerning repairs.

Russia appears to be warming to the bomb theory, FSB chief recommends that flights to Egypt should be suspended.

Agreed. I'm comfortable saying that I think it would be better if this was the work of a bomb rather than a mechanical failure or pilot error. On a personal level it's comforting to know that the plane didn't fall out of the sky on its own accord due to a tail strike 13 years ago (unlikely considering Airbus conducted the repair themselves) or pitot tubes failing; in essence that the plane only crashed because someone wanted it to. Also it hopefully would encourage Putin to start targeting ISIL more, rather than the Syrian opposition

I wonder how they did it. The assumption seems to be a lapse in security at the Sharm El Sheikh airport. Was it as easy as just recruiting and/or bribing a single worker? Could that be done at other airports? Hopefully it doesn't just take one ahole to get a bomb onto a plane, otherwise this could be a whole new front for ISIS. Who is going to want to travel to Egypt or anywhere in the mideast?

And of course the loss of tourism dollars is going to hurt Egypt which cant afford it and possibly lead to more unrest (due to more unemployment).
