Holy crap. Statewide offices change parties all the time. Dems please stop acting like it's the end of the world. Not every state votes 100% for one party all the time. Try again harder in four years.

The difference is that this is a re-alignment, not a purple state oscillating.

How can you be sure?

As I see it now, Harmon has won. Yes, its close, but considering the outstanding vote 90% sure he has won. Beshar and Grimes should fretting right now.

Why is that little dot to the west part of Fulton County?

Because part of the county is across the Mississippi River from the rest.  The river bends, Missouri is across it, the river bends again, and the western part of the county points upward from Tennessee.
Before you start writing Conway off, remember that Cucinelli was beating McAuliffe for most of the night in Virginia two years ago.

KY doesn't have the huge republican counting bias that VA does.
And they don't have as many urban Democrat centers.  I'm starting to wonder about this one.

AP calls the treasurer's race for Ball.  They called the Agriculture Commissioner race for Quarles a while ago.

Grimes might actually survive, but besides that it looks like a Republican-slide.

That sounds about right.

I thought that  Bevin would win but by a very narrow margin.  Did not expect this scale of victory. Wow.

It looks like Kentucky has decided to join the rest of the Republican "solid south".

Thank you old friend.

From my extrapolation of the trends Beshear is finished and Grimes is likely toast. God, I am good at this.
