Freedom Party Platform

Social Issues[/b]

Abortion- The Party does not condone abortion.  There should be restrictions placed on access to abortion, like parental notification for a minor seeking an abortion, and a ban on third term abortions.  Any restriction must provide exceptions for rape, incest, and the life/physical health of the mother.  The AFP dos not, however, seek to ban all abortions.  We do seek to reduce the number of abortions through funding for maternity care to poor women and the loosening of adoption restrictions.

Gay Marriage- Gay Marriage is a settled issue in Atlasia.  It is legal, and the AFP does not seek to change this regardless of the feelings of individual members.

Affirmative Action- Affirmative Action is no longer necessary in a society where racial tolerance is becoming the norm.  It should be gotten rid of.

Crime and Punishment- The death penalty should not be imposed for civilian crimes.  It should be reserved for those who commit war crimes like terrorism or treason.  There is no civilian crime that requires any more than life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.  Inmates in prisons should be put to use doing community service, training seeing eye dogs, and other activities that re-connect them with their community and humanity, this  will further their rehabilitation and further allow them to repay their debt to society.  We do not favor ending the drug war.  The flow of illegal narcotics into the US is trending downward because the drug war has been more successful than its critics can admit.  Chemical addiction is not a form of freedom, it is a form of slavery, and we oppose a policy that will lead to less freedom.

Education- Education is the foundation of the future.  We will work for a more efficient education system.  We spend more per pupil than nearly any other western nation, yet we have the worst results of any such nation.  We must ensure that money is spent wisely, that teachers are competent, and that parents are more involved in their kid’s education.

Economic Issues

Health Care- We will work to do two things in health care.  The first is to modernize the way health care is regulated and distributed in an effort to reduce the cost of care and the rate at which that cost increases.  We will also work to expand health coverage to children and the poor.  We will do both in an incremental fashion over time, since there is no instant big bang solution to this problem.

Social Security- Social Security is going bankrupt.  The best way to fix this problem is to make a long term transition to a system based on private accounts, similar to 401K plans, rather than the current pay-as-you-go system.  The government will not allow personal control of the assets in these accounts because we need to prevent citizens who aren’t savvy investors from losing out.  Instead, the personal accounts will be composed of market index funds and government bonds, ensuring a diverse portfolio with minimal management costs.  Poor seniors will also have access to the same anti-poverty programs available to non-seniors, in the hope that it will further minimize risk.

Spending- The government spends neither too much or too little, but too wastefully.  We have vast bureaucracies that waste money, programs designed by and for special interests that allocate public dollars for private designs, and antiquated organizations that badly need to be brought into the 21st Century.  Through reform and anti-corruption measures we can do more by spending less, and have a government that works for citizens, not the other way around.

Trade- Free trade makes the world safer and more prosperous.  Nations that trade rarely wage war against one another.  Atlasia should advance the cause of free trade through both multilateral and bilateral agreements.  In the process, we should also ask that nations with whom we trade make their economies more just with environmental and worker protections, and we should oppose hidden tariffs in the first world, like subsidies, and graft in the third world, like monopsonies.

Taxes- Taxes are too high.  They should be incrementally reduced over time to a lower rate, and loopholes should be eliminated making the code more simple and more efficient.  We endorse progressive taxation.

Foreign Affairs

Globalization- Globalization is a positive process that breeds peace and prosperity.  Nations that trade together rarely wage war together.  By advancing the process of globalization, we can make America and the world safer. more prosperous, and more free.

Africa- Africa is poor not because of western exploitation, but because of corrupt governance.  Only by supporting emerging democracies like those in Kenya and Botswana and opposing dictators like those in Zimbabwe and Sudan can we end this cycle of suppression of political freedom and economic opportunity.  Foreign aid to Africa needs to be increased through the USAID program.  For only $15 billion a year, according to studies by the UN, we could provide basic nutrition and medical care to every child in the third world.  We can and should do this.

Latin America- The first priority here should be to prepare for the inevitable demise of Fidel Castro and advance the cause of the opposition to Hugo Chavez in Venezuela.  Our second goal should be the globalize Latin America through advocating the FTAA.

Europe- America's alliances with the nations of Europe are among our most important parternships in the world.  We should build on our partnerships within NATO and welcome the nations of Eastern Europe into the Atlantic Alliance.  However, a European Superstate dominated by France and Germany is not in America's interests.  Nor is it in Europe's interests.  An economically integrated Europe that favors no one nation, but rather opens European markets to international commerce should be the goal.  European protectionism hurts American businesses and the third world, and it should be ended.  If Europe continues its unfair trade practices, we will work through the WTO to bring about an end to this practice.  The Peace Process in the Balkans has been effective, but we need a more vigorous effort to locate and bring to justice the war criminals like Radko Mladic and Radovan Karazic.

India- India, the world’s largest democracy, is a potential long term US ally. We ought to pursue expanded trade relations and military cooperation.  They understand the threat of radical Islam and the power of democracy.  They are a natural friend to America, and we should stop treating them like a second tier nation in terms of their importance to us.

Russia- Russia has become the arms dealer to the world.  We need to oppose Russian attempts to exert its influence over Eastern Europe, including their audacious moves in Ukraine and Georgia.  We should continue the Nunn-Lugar program to safeguard Russian nuclear materials.  We need to prepare our own military to deal with hostile nations that will arm themselves with top end Russian weapons and treat Vladimir Putin as someone not to be trusted.

China- China has become the single most hostile nation on Earth outside the Middle East.  We ought to begin holding them accountable for their illegal occupations of Tibet, their belligerence towards Taiwan, and there support for fascist governments in North Korea and Burma.  They are not a free nation, we are.  We must oppose their anti-freedom agenda as we contained a similar agenda when espoused by the USSR.

War on Terrorism

The Enemy- The enemy is not the tactic of terrorism, but its practitioners and their ideology.  The name "War on Terrorism" is a misnomer.  We are fighting the ideology of Jihadism.  Our enemy is groups that kill in the name of Islam and their state sponsors in Iran, Syria, Sudan, and elsewhere.  Both the terrorist groups and their state sponsors must be confronted if we are to prevail.  Our enemy is not the one billion plus Muslims around the world, and the millions right here in Atlasia, who want the same thing we do: Peace and Freedom.

Our Allies- Our allies are many.  We are joined in this fight by the braver nations of Europe who have chosen to stand up for free men and women and those who desire to be.  They have made a difficult choice, and they should be rewarded for their bravery with an America that stands by them as they stand by us.  We are joined by nations like Israel, India, Australia, and Japan who have suffered terrorist attacks in recent years and understand our struggle.  Our most important allies however are the moderates in the Muslim world.  They understand that life for Muslims will be better if we succeed, and they risk their lives everyday to stand up to the fanatics.

The Strategy- We will use military action to topple terrorist sponsoring states, denying terrorist groups that ability to operate from those states and cutting them off from a major source of funding.  We will seize their financial assets wherever possible, further cutting them off from their money.  We will use covert action to seek out and defeat terrorists around the world before they can strike us.  We will support reformers in their efforts to transform their own societies with whatever they need to prevail.  We will minimize relations with nations that pretend to be our friends, but aid our enemies while our back is turned.  We will end foreign aid to nations that do not democratize, even if that is inconvenient for us.  We will urge friendly Arab nations to reform themselves.  We will open our trade policies to reward nations that reform on their own.  We will increase foreign aid to nations that democratize and we will spend more to build prosperous societies in Iraq and Afghanistan.  We will win this war not only by defeating the Jihadists, but by transcending them.  We will be their moral superiors, giving our nation's all to spread freedom over fascism in Arabia and creating civil societies that have consensual governments, tolerant cultures, and open economies.

Forum Issues

The Constitution- The current constitution has what are now universally recognized as major flaws.  We should hold a new constitutional convention to write a new, improved, constitution.  As our founders did after the Articles of Confederation failed, we should learn from our mistakes while keeping our founding principles intact.  The new Constitution should keep certain institutions like the Senate and Preisdency and Supreme Court intact, but should be altered in certain areas to clarify the various powers.

Forum Government- The lack of capable people to fill government positions is becoming noticeable.  New positions should not be created at any point inn the near future.  Fewer positions will mean better government.

The Budget- The government must establish a budget.  It must account for its spending every four months, with the new President submitting a budget to the Senate as his first official act.  The budget may not be subject to referendum because Senators should be able to amend it.  It will be, in the beginning, based on the actual US Federal Budget but obviously over time it will diverge from that beginning.

GM Reform- The GM should be reactive not proactive.  There are enough real-world crises like North Korea and Iraq to keep us all busy.  He ought to replace his duty as scenario generator with one as the arbiter of the outcomes of government action.  He will also add an economic component to his job.  He will, on a monthly basis, generate based on government policy a GDP growth rate, an unemployment rate, and an inflation rate so the government may determine the state of the economy and make policy based on this.  In the beginning, this will be based on the actual numbers from real life, but will change according to government policy.

Tonight, CSPAN will be re-airing the speeches of Senator Supersoulty and Fmr. Senator John Ford, who were the keynote speakers at February's Freedom Party convention in Honolulu, Hawai'i.  First up is Senator Supersoulty's Speech.

*Supersoulty comes on stage to the song "The Remedy"*

"Ever since the collapse of the first party system, I had dreamed of a party that would promote the values that are so important to Atlasia.

This party, by its nature, holds Freedom as our highest value.  But this Freedom that we speak of is not the traditional, narrow minded view of Freedom.  Our Freedom comes with a belief in the value of every human being and with an understanding that we who are fortunate enough to enjoy the bounty and goodness of Freedom have a responsibility to do what is in our power to share that bounty with our fellow man.

Chief among the beliefs of the Freedom Party is our belief that government is not an evil or even a necessary evil but rather, responsive and responsible government can do a lot of good for its citizens so long as those citizens are ever mindful of its benefits.

(Applause)

We believe in taking an active role in spreading and defending liberty all over the world.  We do not approach this subject in an arrogant way that believes that nations need to adopt all Atlasian values, or that our brand of Democracy is a one size fits all proposition, but rather, with an understanding that all human souls yearn for freedom and that the people of any nation have the right to define those freedoms as they so chose, provided that they do not trample on the right of others to do the same.

(Applause)

We believe that, while the individual is to be respected and cherished, the community is at least as important and at least as worthy of preservation.  This means that we must work to insure that the basic need of those around us are served and that while people should learn from their mistakes and answer for them in their own way, we need not castigate them.  We must understand that we are all humans, and that all life is precious, regardless of its condition.

(Applause)

We believe that all people must be given an opportunity to fulfill the Atlasian dream.  We must have tolerance and respect for all people, regardless of race, creed, economic background or sexual orientation.  We must open the doors to prosperity by supporting better funding for our public schools and opening university doors to more of Atlasia’s citizens.  Education is the avenue to our future and we must do what we can to support it.

(Louder Applause)

Finally, the Freedom Party has deep belief in and commitment to the goodness of the human spirit.  People, by their nature, care for others and for their fellow man.  Evil, greed, avarice… these evils are not the norm of the human experience and our policies should not reflect the idea that they are.  But, so there is no mistake, we must understand that there are those few individuals who, either through bitterness, desperation or simply in the sprite of evil, seek to harm others.  They must be fought with the greatest vigor, they must be stopped.

(Standing Ovation)

Freedom is not just a word.  It is a value and a way of life.  We must show the word that we mean it when we make that solemn oath… “Liberty and Justice for all”.

Thank You and God Bless."

Supersoulty exits to standing ovation.

And now the second keynote speech from that convention, the speech of then-Senator John Ford.

*Ford takes the stage.*

(Applause for the Chairman)

"During my time in Atlasia, I have worked to build a center out coalition.  As a Republican, I based my campaign on what I called Modern Republicanism.  I wanted to be the moderate candidate for president.  When the UAC formed, I saw a chance to elect a centrist President, and we did, electing President Gustaf Lundgren.  When the UAC fell away, I joined this Party, the Freedom Party, along with people like Governor Wildcard, former President Gustaf, and Senator Supersoulty, because I believed it was the best hope for a coalition that represented the people of this country.  Since then, we have gained many distinguished members, and we hope to gain more.  And along with the Union Party, we have rebuilt a center out coalition to govern Atlasia.

(Polite Applause)

Those in the center understand that people had ought to have the liberty to enjoy life without puritan moralists or political correctness police breathing down their necks.

(A Few Cheers)

But they also understand that a society of "anything goes" will actually go nowhere.  Those in the center understand that a government that does not allow business to thrive or individuals to control their own wealth will foster recession, but also understands that without a safety net, sensible regulations, and government infrastructure, that prosperity will only be experienced by the few.  The center is, by nature, pragmatic but idealistic.

(Applause)

What really sets the center apart is that it is the basis for the most important coalitions of all - the ones that defend Atlasia.  We in the center, we in the Freedom Party, do not believe that what we have should be hoarded for us alone.  We believe that every person should be able to live in a country where they can choose their own government, where they can hold corrupt and incompetent leaders accountable, where citizens have constitutional protections of civil rights, where gender, race, religion, and sexual orientation are not obstacles to achieving your dreams, where every citizen can participate in a free and open market, and where the potential for a man's life can be more than being a servant of the state.

(Standing Ovation)

No one in this hall thinks that a Muslim can't handle democracy.

(Loud Cheers)

No one in this hall thinks that an African deserves to live in an aluminum shack.

(louder Cheers)

No one in this hall thinks the dictators club of the UN is morally superior to elected leaders like Hamid Karzai.

(Standing Ovation)

We can't fix the wole world all at once, but if we do what we can when we can, and we do what we should when we must, I think we'll find that there is nothing wrong with this world that cannot be fixed by what is right with freedom.

(Long Standing Ovation)

But there are some who don't share that view.  The extremes on the right, who believe in a what they charitably describe as "non-interventionism" oppose us.  When it came time to vote for funding for the Iraq War, the liberals all voted "aye", but one extremist conservative voted "nay".  The belief in self-interest over common cause, and the skepticism and pessimism about what we can accomplish when we put our minds and hearts into it is fundamentally un-Atlasian.  This is the country that went from a seaside colony to the greatest economic giant in human history in less than 200 years.  This country was built by pioneers and adventurers, from the pilgrims who sailed the Atlantic to escape religious persecution so long ago, to the pilgrims who brave the Florida straits every day to escape communism, this is no country for self doubters.

(Long Standing Ovation)

On the extreme left, we find what can only be described as an outright hostility to Atlasia.  Doubting our core values, questioning the justness of our society, impugning our motives at every turn, they betray the legacy of Truman and Kennedy.

When we were attacked on 9/11, the extreme left did not blame the Jihadist killers, whose twisted worldview had driven them to murder.  They blamed Atlasia.

(Boos)

But then, somehow, they always blame Atlasia first.

(Loud Cheers)

When we invaded Iraq, they did not blame Saddam Hussein for sponsoring terrorist groups like Al Qaeda and Hamas and stoking conflict.  They blamed Atlasia.

But then, somehow, they always blame Atlasia first.

When we had our dispute with China, they did not blame the PRC for creating their second crisis in a year or for threatening Taiwan.  They blamed Atlasia.

But then, somehow, they always blame Atlasia first.

Abraham Lincoln didn't cause slavery, he did respond to it.

(Cheering)

Winston Churchill didn't cause Nazism, he did respond to it.

(Cheering Continues)

Ronald Reagan didn't cause Stalinism, he did respond to it.

(Cheering Continues for a moment, then dies down)

If you don't believe in Atlasia, you can't defend Atlasia.  In the words of the distinguished French writer, Jean Francois Revel, "Clearly, a civilization that feels guilty for everything it is and does will lack the energy and conviction to defend itself."  Those on the isolationist right and the pacifist left have much to answer for.

(Standing Ovation)

What would become of Iraq if America left its work there undone?  What would become of Korea if we lifted our protective shield?  What would become of Indonesia if America planes and ships stopped bringing aid?  What would become of Afghanistan if the warlords returned to power?

These aren't just questions the extremes haven't answered, they're questions the extremes haven't bothered to ask.

(Loud Cheers and a Standing Ovation)

There are candidates in this years Presidential election that represent the pacifist left, though we are thankfully spared of the isolationist right.  Lewis Trondheim is a decent enough fellow, but he in no way has the constitution to defend this nation.  There is one man who does though, and his name is KEmperor.

(More Cheering)

This man is a dedicated public servant who believes in the rule of law, the will of the people, and the special place of Atlasia in the history of the world.  I believe in Kemp for President, and so can you.  I urge you all to, without hesitation, vote for Kemp and his fine running mate Alcon, for a freer Atlasia and a freer world.  Thank you all, and God Bless the United States of Atlasia."

(Long Standing Ovation, "Built Ford Tough" chant emanates from the crowd)

*Exit stage left.*

I disagree with that.

However, I would support a sentence that states the Freedom Party's support for more decentralization of our education system.

I propose that the Freedom Party absorb the Radicals. We are too similar in basic ideology to co-exist. The Radicals can obviously not expand it's appeal. I therefore move to have every Radical Party member's registration  automatically tranfered to that of the Freedom Party.

*Ford takes the stage*

(Applause for the Chairman)

Thank you, thank you.

I spent last night watching on CSPAN as they replayed the great moments from our last convention.  Watching the speeches, I came to realize that support for freedom isn't the only thing that separates us from the other parties.  What sets us apart is that we support freedom that comes with responsibility.

So many Atlasians love their freedoms, but hate their responsibilities.  We can't build a better country simply by electing great leaders; we need to start fostering great citizens.

(Cheering)

Our values weren't born in Nyman, DC.  They were born in the steel towns of the Midwest, the plains in our heartland, on the cliffs of the California coast.

(Cheering)

Our values are the values of the mother in Harlem who just hopes her children come home safely at night, in the tears of the farmer in Nebraska whose son was accepted to Harvard but can't go because there's no money to send him, and dirt under the nails of the Pakistani immigrant who cleans toilets for minimum wage so his daughter never has to wear a burkha.

(Standing ovation and cheering)

Our values are the values of Atlasians, not politicians, of promises kept and not simply made.

(Cheering)

There's a promise to this nation and it's our job to keep it.  There are dreams in this nation and it's our job to help them come true.  There's war in this world, and it's our job to bring peace.  We have so much freedom, prosperity, and potential.  We therefore have a responsibility to spread that freedom, to share that prosperity, and to fulfill that potential.  It's our responsibilities that set us apart from the others, and our willingness to take up those responsibilities in our daily lives.  If we're going to make this country better it won't start with a senate bill or an electoral mandate, it starts with neighborhoods and communities banding together, it starts with the citizens.

(Cheering)

I'm not here tonight to make promises of what this party or our candidates will do for you.  I'm here to let you hear what we're going to ask of you.

(Standing ovation and cheering)

Freedom comes with responsibility.  You see our government's policies can make us more prosperous, but not as much as our entrepreneurs can.  Our government can make our schools better, but not as much as our teachers can.  Our government can make our streets safer, but not as much as our cops can.  Our government can make us healthier, but not as much as our doctors can.  Our government can make this world freer, but not as much as our soldiers can.  There's so much our government can do, but so much more our citizens can do.

(Standing ovation and cheering)

We need to foster a better nation at home.  We need to live in such a way that makes our country better.  When I see someone drop a piece of trash on a street corner, it ticks me off.  It's so easy to do something small differently, and when you're not willing to do those small things, it's usually because you don't care.  And when you start doing those small things, the big things start to take care of themselves.

Take health care for example.  We are the least healthy country on Earth and then we ask the government to come fix things for us.  We actually wonder why we pay more for ealth care than any country on Earth.  We demand more government money as we head out to McDonalds.  Again, we love our freedoms, but hate our responsibilities.  We don't need more hospitals as much as we need fewer patients.  We don't need more health care as much as we need more health.

(Cheering and laughter)

Freedom comes with responsibility.  I'm the first guy to want government to help a citizen in need, but those same citizens have to take it upon themselves as individuals to be good citizens, and that means taking up your responsibilities while exercising our freedoms, and too many people have forgotten that part.

(Applause)

Freedom comes with a responsibility of citizens to their community, communities to their country, and our country to the rest of the world.  We need to foster a better world abroad.  I want you to look around at all the violence and all the terrorism that's going on in the world today.  I want everyone in this room to understand, these people who are doing are truly awful and must be stopped.  But you better understand that they weren't born wanting this.

(Cheering)

They weren't born wanting to kill and maim.  This was done to them by a corrupt culture that taught them to destroy instead of create.  That culture that told them it was God's will to murder God's children.  They weren't born wanting this, no one ever is.

(Standing ovation and cheering)

We have the freedom to do nothing.  We have the power to stand aside and wait for the next attack and keep playing terrorist whack-a-mole.  But we have the responsibility not to.  They weren't born wanting this.  Once you accept that, you start to understand how to make people stop wanting this- you let freedom ring!

(Standing ovation and cheering)

It's Franklin Roosevelt's words that are at the founding of this Party, but it’s the words of his wife Eleanor that I'd like you to hear now.  She said, "When will our consciences grow so tender that we will act to prevent human misery rather than avenge it?"  How true those words are, at home and abroad.

Freedom comes with responsibility.  All too many love their freedoms but hate their responsibilities.  So I leave you here with the three things that our Party believes and other parties don't.

Prosperity has a purpose.  Peace comes with a price.  And freedom isn't free.

(Long standing ovation)

(sitting on a desk beside a female teacher, surrounded by 4th graders)

Hello, all.  I'm speaking to you tonight from the Ms. Carol Howard's 4th Grade class, at Bob Dole Elementary.  I would like to thank Ms. Howard for be so kind as to host me here, tonight.

These children you see now are the future of Atlasia.  We must all remember this in all of our policies.  While we must work to end poverty today, all of our programs must have progressive goals in mind.

Sound and well funded education programs are the best way to assure Atlasia's future is a bright one.  Poverty can be stopped with hope.  Ignorance, with knowledge.  I hope to see you all soon in Pittsburgh.

Good Night and God Bless.

Thank You.  I’m glad to be here in Pittsburgh.  I’m also proud to say that I’m supporting Senator Supersoulty for President!  The Senator is a distinguished and experienced statesmen and a strong leader.  I am confident a Supersoulty administration would bring a vision unparalleled since the days of JFK.

The Freedom party does not have a hard-line party organization.  It was not founded out of trivial partisan feuds, yet it was founded out of belief of a core set of ideals.  It was founded in the four freedoms of Franklin Delano Roosevelt and holds those beliefs to this day.  It was founded in belief that we could build a fair and strong government that is not an ineffective burden upon the governed but yet is a positive force upon our nation.  It was founded on in hope of a government that is on the frontline on the push for freedom and justice for all.

The Freedom Party believes in a fair and competitive market.  We strongly believe in capitalism, while realizing capitalism without necessary rules has a tendency to produce a system that is unfair to those in disadvantaged and less powerful positions.  We believe in a system of Meritocracy and bringing the best out of our nation.  The Freedom Party pushes for a simpler and fairer tax code because a complex tax system is full of loopholes and benefits those who cheat and hurts those that make their money through fair, hard, work.  We fight for making our government less wasteful and pushing innovation.  Upon every expense our government should think about whether this actually will help America or yet are they doing this to bring home the pork to the constituents.  The Freedom Party recognizes the state of our education is not what it could be.  We believe that a more decentralized education system can best make the choices for our students while we still push for the necessary federal funding.

We believe in a responsible and idealistic foreign policy.  We believe in promoting peace and freedom throughout the globe.  This means continuing the War on Terror everywhere.  The Freedom party realizes that it is oppression and undemocratic governments that breed terrorists, so we will push for democracy everywhere.  The War on Terror involves overthrowing regimes that sponsor terror.  We believe in strong and modernized military that effectively combats the threats of today.

Thank for your time, and I urge to support Senator Supersoulty for President.

(Sitting in room full of Arabic people)

Hello again.  In a just one more day, I will be there with you in Pittsburgh.  But today, I am here at citizenship class in a one of the many Muslim neighborhoods of Cinncinatti, Ohio.  In just one more week, the people you see around me will be taking there first big step in their journey as citizens of our great land.  They will be taking their citizenship tests.  We should all commend them for the journey it has taken them to get here, and the new freedoms and responsabilities they are about to aquire for themselves and there families.  And we should all share in the pride that they feel for themselves and for the nation they are all about to become a part of.

These people will be just as American as you or I.  They were able to get here, because, like anyone, they already work with us and around us.  They speak the language that is about to be theirs own.  Know the history of the land that is about to become their own.  And love the nation that is about to become our own.

I think that it is important that we remember this as we move foward.

Speaking of moving foward, I want to intruduce to you all now, the man that I have selected to move foward with us in this campaign and hopefully as we move the country foward, together, while I am in office.  He is a good honest man.  A man with exprience.  A man that we can all trust.  And a man that I am proud to call "friend".

Sorry, my flight from NM was delayed. Smiley

As I read over the fine speeches made by my fellow Freedom Party members I am once again reminded of what a stellar party this is. Now, I am more a plain-spoken sort not given to lengthy speeches, yet let me say that in the Freedom Party, I found the combination of compassion, responsibility, and rationality in foregin policy I had been looking for in Atlasia.

I am proud to support Senator Supersoulty, and I believe he will make a fine President. I am also here to declare that I have accepted his offer to become the Vice Presidential candidate for the Freedom Party!

(applause)

I believe that we can successfully move forward in Atlasia, both at home and abroad. I believe that we can ensure both freedom and responsibility for all people. And I mean ALL people, from rich to poor and in-between, regardless of their ethnicity, nationality, ideology, gender, sexual orientation, or financial status! Freedom and responsibility are for everyone in Atlasia, and should be encouraged abroad as well! There shall be no idiotic isolationism in a Freedom Party administration, whether from left or right, but a committment to the spread of the Four Freedoms! We are here to fight for all the people of Atlasia, in the fairest and most rational manner possible!

And to do so, please support the Supersoulty/WMS ticket for President!

(cheering)

God Bless you, and God Bless Atlasia!
