I'd just like to thank the Senate for being so proactive on this endeavor. As I said during the last debate and prior to assuming the office in November, I did not personally have the motivation to focus on the budget knowing that the end would come soon, but nevertheless, this is one of those areas that has come out pretty well regardless. I've been peeking in throughout the process, and was pleased to see nobody went hog-wild with trying to cut or slash a bunch of stuff that would earn my wrath even with the aforementioned position.

I'd be lying if I said that I didn't think I earned a bit of a pass from any further budget discussions after the 4+ months I spent with Averroes as Game Moderator ripping the fundamental flaws of the budget out of it, completely overhauling the calculations and producing an accurate document based on inflation and actual effects of Atlasian policy. Nevertheless and at the very least, I know that unlike prior to 2013, this budget will have a financially accurate foundation and is in a far better position to reflect our values.

Also, I can understand Potus' incredulity: you might as well vote for me, Potus!

The healthcare section still acts as those subsidized private market insurance doesn't exist. Part of this is my fault for not getting on here enough to emphasize the point as it was back in December when I posted about.
