Unsurprising coming from an ISIS apologist.

Oh yes because Sanders and ISIS have sooo much in common...idiot.

Both are America-bashing terrorists. Sanders is an economic terrorist and ISIS are Islamic terrorists.

Sanders is running for president but is an American-bashing terrorist? No logic is needed when talking to you clearly.

Some of these Hillary supporters are completely unhinged.

Clinton supporters are more conservative then Sanders suporters so it is not suprising to see some supporters name call and dismiss Sanders instead of talking about the issues.

Atlas is a funny place. On most sites, the online Sandernista vanguard will metaphorically send you to the gulag if you dare to voice opposition to their saint or question the wisdom of spammed online polls. They are also relentlessly negative against Hillary Clinton, even using GOP talking points and faux scandals against her to try to derail her candidacy. If you doubt any of this, go read the comments on any FiveThirtyEight article where they suggest Sanders is unlikely to win the Democratic nomination. They accuse anyone who says so of being corporatist hacks/Hillary shills/Wall Street shills. By contrast, Hillary supporters rarely attack Sanders.

On Atlas though, the dynamic seems to be reversed. I think we thrive on being contrarian, honestly. Back in early 2014/early to mid 2015 this site despised Hillary with a passion and I was one of her few vocal supporters. Sanders was met with nearly universal praise and adulation when he was just a random socialist fringe candidate polling at 4% against Hillary's ~70%. Now that Sanders has tons of online fanboys extolling his every move while Hillary takes abuse endlessly from all sides, the dynamic has changed. Of course, the exodus of many users from Atlas to AAD probably had some impact as well, along with the steady influx of new users as we get closer to the election.

LOL, you quote someone saying Bernie is an ISIS apologist an claim that Hillary supporters rarely attack Bernie. They do a fair amount, and also go after his supporters. Hillary supporters have no problem repeating lies from right-wing sites like the WSJ to attack Bernie.

Also Hillary herself has implied that Sanders is sexist and has double and tripled down...that may be a reason why you find Sanders supporters more hostile.

Honestly this is kind of annoying. If you're president, you don't get to decide what you want and what you don't want to address. If something happens then it's an issue you have to address. Just my onion tho.

Republicans sometimes scare the hell out of me.

But the liberals are making my blood boil with anger.

Hey guys, don't generalize and discuss nuance of why problems are the way they are for thousands of years across the globe that 90%+ of terrorism currently is by a certain religions.  And giving the same environment, the Buddhist and Muslim separatists in China.  One group has way way way way way way more blood in their hands.  Guess which one.

But feel free to generalize the message to, "f... white people."

Sanders doesn't want to talk about foreign policy because he's actually relatively hawkish and most of his supporters are SJW babies who think any stringent denunciation of ISIS is "Islamophobic". He doesn't want to turn them off.

The attitude you describe as being prevalent on Atlas is even more prevalent on AH.com. I think you're right that the Reddit crowd's ridiculous level of support of Sanders has made people on more serious political discussion forums like him less. And I'm (kind of) a Sanders supporter.

Hillary supporters were quick to parrot lies about Bernie from the WSJ like the $18 trillion lie and the supposed flip flop on the emails.

Of course it was. It was based upon faulty analysis of a single payer healthcare bill that wasn't Bernie's. Total crap. Do you really hate single payer healthcare enough that you side with the WSJ over single payer?

Compared to Hillary who is as donald trump would put as a  "HUGEEE" hawk on forign policy. She is going to do whatever her donors tell her to do.

Sanders number one goal is seeing that his (economic) policy priorities become party policy and eventually become law.  He's less interested in actually becoming president.  Otherwise he'd be talking more about how he'd handle the Commander-In-Chief role.

Yes, Sanders main problem as a candidate is he is very hyper focused on one issue (inequality) and very weak on others. He can talk all day about economic issues focusing on his key demographic target, but in terms of national security or foreign policy he has nothing particular interesting to say beyond a few boilerplate liberal sentiments. There's nothing inherently wrong about running on a dovish platform, but Sanders doesn't seem that interested in substantiating his foreign policy at all, which is dumb, as foreign policy is the area POTUS has most power over.

Bernie isn't a dove. He said we should destroy ISIS.

Only the mentally deranged don't want to do that.
