KY: Not a battleground state obviously
VA: The GOP regained their majority in the State Senate, VA will be a hotly contested battleground state in 2016
PA: Democrats scored a major election victory here, PA is fools gold for the GOP in 2016

Nothing. Turnout was terrible, polls were deeply wrong, MS and KY aren't competitive states, etc.

NJ: Christie is unpopular, though the Democrats screwed up NJ and the Reps got blamed for their mess because Christie is Governor.

I can imagine some wrong impressions some might get as a result of issue 3 failing:

*Northeast Ohio is going to trend R

*Southwest Ohio is going to trend D

(Southwest Ohio voting more for issue 3 than Northeast Ohio)

*Ohio is going to trend R

But really this is accurate:

Nothing. Turnout was terrible, polls were deeply wrong, MS and KY aren't competitive states, etc.

So far, it reinforced the (already quite strong) notion that as bad as things have gotten for Democrats in the interior South, it will continue to get worse. Once Manchin retires and McCaskill retires/is defeated, I imagine Democrats will be unable to win Senate representation in the South and the border states outside of VA, NC, FL, MD, and DE (also possibly GA and TX eventually). That's essentially 24 uncontested Republican Senate seats, and that sucks.
