For real. It's a new take on The Phantom Menace taking the internet by storm and it makes a very surprising amount of sense

Apparently "Jar Jar was evil all along manipulating everybody" was supposed to be the big reveal of Episode II that never happened, and Lucas felt he was forced to completely change the script at the last minute due to the extremely hostile reaction that the entire fan base had towards the character. It's theorized that the Count Dooku character in Episode II largely took the role Jar Jar was supposed to play. Lucas left a lot of small hints that this twist was coming, the most obvious of which (IMO) are the several times where Jar Jar is standing behind a character that's talking and mouthing the words as the character is saying them, but there's a veritable mountain of evidence.

Some people even say Darth Binks will be making an appearance in the new movie!

What are your thoughts?

Would have been the best twist in EP II ever. So much lost potential, whether this theory is false or if it's true and they backed down because of Jar Jar's negative reception.
