Bevin would either give up his second term or not turn at all, since he would have to run for re-election at the same time as running for president, which would be extremely unpopular and awkward.

The frontrunner will be Kasich, Rubio, maybe Jindal, Cruz, Baker. Baker will be leading in the polls in November 2017.

Gov. Marco Rubio, Sen. John Kasich, and maybe Susanna Martinez or Brian Sandoval will be establishment front runners. If George P. Bush primaries Abbott or Cruz and wins, he might be the Rubio of 2020. Ted Cruz, Joni Ernst, and Rand Paul will all be Tea Party front runners.

My prediction of 2017/2018 mentioned names and possible polling:

Marco Rubio: 18%
Joni Ernst: 15%
John Kasich: 14%
Condoleeza Rice: 12%
Ted Cruz: 11%
Rand Paul: 7%
Susanna Martinez: 4%
Other: 19%

Depends who Hillary Clinton beat in 2016.  If it was someone anti-establishment like Ted Cruz or Donald Trump, she'll probably face someone more establishmentarian and yet a minority -maybe Sen. Tim Scott.

The emerging Dem majority, is gonna have a duplicate map in 2020. The Senate map is just as favorable to Dems as 2016, en route to 272. Gardner, Ernst & Tillis. Should Dems lose 1-3 senate seats in 2018. No party will have more than 55 seats, so control will flip back & forth.

Hilary can win in 2020.

Charlie Baker will be the lead establishment candidate, Ted Cruz will lead the Tea Partiers. Rand Paul will also do well in the polls.

Definitely Ted Cruz, as Cotton also is a contender as well. Charles Baker is too mavericky to get elected, along the lines of Rowland, Pataki and Ridge.

Lol Baker is way too liberal for the modern GOP and will have no major conservative accomplishments to run on even if he manages re-election.

I think Greg Abbott would make for a strong establishment candidate.  Tom Cotton looks good on paper but I don't think he'd cut it under the national spotlight.

I could see Tim Scott running as the token black guy.  Cruz will definitely run again if he doesn't win the nomination this time around.  If Paul doesn't run again some other sad lolbertarian will try and take up the Paultard mantle, only to perform even worse.

Thinking ahead is always fun, but that's like predicting the weather on Election Day 2020.
