Attacking him for being a member of the Gang of Eight might be more effective. If the Graham campaign wasn't completely dead, it could be used against him too.

why the hell do they say this stuff publicly? it's asinine... just like when jeb's camp leaked 24 hours before the debate the exact line of attack jeb was going to use against rubs

This is a very bad strategy. Bush needs to go after Donald Trump, the establishment doesn't want Bush fighting a fellow Republican who can win, they want to see him go after someone who is unelectable and unstable, and that is Trump.
