LOL guys; a fetus is a living human but its life is invaluable because it is not a sentient entity.

*Until thalamocortical fibers are formed (connect nervous system to brain) around 28 weeks in.

I don't see how a life matter, a life is a life.

Plants? The things you eat? Bacteria?

The fetus, however has human characteristics, just as we don't eat humans, we don't kill fetuses. The fetus feels, pain, takes in nutrients, what I mean is who cares if it is or it is not viable.

Well...

- As I said, fetuses cannot feel until they develop connections between their nervous systems and brains well after the third trimester begins.

- Plants take in nutrients...

- I agree that viability is irrelevant, but how are the shared characteristics of fetuses and already-born humans not such? Yes, you've pointed out a similarity, but why does that similarity matter?

In 8 weeks, fetuses feel pain.
