Does anyone on here know of a good subreddit for politics, preferably US politics?

/r/politics is the big one, but it's notorious for being the worst kind of left-liberal circlejerk (kind of like HuffPost in subreddit form). I think Reddit in general is a bad place to discuss politics; it will always be either that, libertarians, or neo-Nazis.

What about /r/NeutralPolitics? It's easily better than r/politics which is garbage.

I continue to have difficulty understanding why socialists on here continue to oppose Bernie so much.

Ask Historians is the only non-image based, non-meta subreddit that is even tangentially related to American politics that I can recommend in good conscience.

It's a great subreddit, although I often find unanswered questions with nothing but deleted comments. (Stupid references to overrated movies and cringeworthy puns normally common on reddit being banned from there) A natural consequence to requiring substantial answers to each question.

I can't speak for Bacon, but I think /r/SandersForPresident is mostly terrible, and I say that as a supporter of Bernie Sanders.

It just looks like another subreddit to me, although it was politically one-sided enough for me to unsub from it and don't read any of the comments.

Thanks for the answers; r/neutralpolitics seems pretty good. Sometimes I go on r/politics just to see if there's any interesting links, but I don't look at the comments since it does tend to be a "left-wing circle jerk."

I would also recommend r/AskHistorians, though the high amount of moderator action annoys me quite a bit. r/AskSocialScience isn't terrible either.

/r/NeutralPolitics and /r/PoliticalDiscussion are among the few tolerable ones.  /r/PoliticalFactchecking is as well, but rather inactive.  /r/Economics is pretty good for related discussion.

Would there be any interest in starting up an Atlas forum subreddit? I love the discussion on here but personally I hate navigating through this clunky old forum.
