Legal, both recreational and medical (not paranoid over a drug that is less harmful than alcohol and doesn't make people aggressive; doesn't think the government should decide what people can smoke).

I voted legal only for medical purposes.  Marijuana is a dangerous drug, and we should not coddle a bunch of potheads who want to be able to light up any time they want to.  Do we want to be a clean nation where people live responsibly and productively?  Dope will rot your brain.
How is it more dangerous than what's already legal?

A lot of people don't realize that legalizing pot will have disastrous consequences.  First of all more people will use it,
I live in the Netherlands and perhaps the number of people who tried pot is higher, but the amount of people who use it regularly does not appear to be that much higher than in countries where it is illegal.

and it is a gateway to harder drugs like cocaine and meth.
No it isn't.

So then you have more people who can't get jobs because they are stoned and incompetent.
No. Most regular users are responsible adults. In the Netherlands there are very few people who cannot get jobs because they are "stoned and incompetent".

No, actually a lot less crime: many crime is currently drug-related, including drug use and the selling of drugs. If that would be legal, it would by definition lead to less crime. By contrast, if drugs is illegal, people will of course use criminals to purchase it, and people selling drugs cannot use the rule of law to resolve conflicts, so they resort to violence. If it is legal, such violence does not exist. And the amount of people that wil perpetrate crimes to get marijuana is negligible, since it is really cheap if legalized. Such problems only exist with people who are addicted to "harder drugs", like heroin.

You want to talk about rising health care and insurance premiums?  All of us will be paying for those who want to get stoned.
So tax it. By the way, don't you drink? Don't you eat fast food? Don't you smoke?

This is a spoiled rotten generation that does not know what the WWII generation sacrificed.  As the WWII generation dies out, we get this generation that grew up without respect for law and order.
